QUOTE(elly lim @ Jan 18 2013, 04:47 PM) Anyone had experience delivering in the new Columbia Asia Setapak? Mind to share your experience and charges? Also any good doc available there? There's only one doc who does the checkups, not sure if he's doing the deliveries as well. His name is Dr. Suhaimi Hassan, and so far my experiences for the monthly checks have been really pleasant. He listens to your worries and takes time to explain things to you. My checkups usually amount to RM200-RM300 for ultrasound, consultation and prenatal meds. Will decide once I ask their policies, prices and am further along. Only 23 weeks now. But what I did like was that the doctor came to see me when I called in for emergency during first trimester one night for some bleeding, and another time on a Sunday evening (also there was a lady whose water broke and came in about the same time) in less than half an hour. The nurses have also been really nice, I've never encountered a sour-faced personnel throughout all my visits there.

Does anyone know how much it would cost having a C-Section in Pantai Hospital Penang? My wife is having regular checkups there and is already nearing her due date.
I was advised to go to Lam Wah Yee but since our gynecologist is good and the hospital is near, we decided to stick to Pantai.
Now I read here that C-Section would cost about 12K now I am having second thoughts.

1st time dad-in-waiting here...plan to go look for a specialist gynae in Penang. Currently staying in Bayan Bay, so i guess the most logical hospital to head to would be Pantai. However would like 2nd opinion from you guys about the quality of service, reliability and pricing/packages as I heard mixed opinions about the from friends and family. Thanks in advance!
