Total damage is about 11.5k for 2 days stay, single room (mother + baby) + operation cost.

Quite satisfied with the service provided,all the nurses very helpful and friendly.

Hey all, my wife is a foreigner and she hasn't gotten her PR.

As I know few years back Gov has increased the price of medical care for foreigners without PR status, even though spouse is Malaysian.

Anyone has any information how much does it cost for a foreigner to deliver a baby in gov hospital now? Eg: UMMC / Putrajaya Hospital

Because I was contemplating if the cost to deliver a baby in Gov hospital is so high for a foreigner, might as well go for Private like Sunway Medical / Columbia / KPJ for a more comfortable environment overall.

Also I got a flyer at Sunway medical centre, they're having a promo now and normal delivery cost about RM3,500 - RM4,500, valid until 31st Dec 2018. Excluding some doctor consultation & specialist charges though.

Hi , I've got many friends register just for the red book then skip the check up.
I myself urge my wife to check gov and private , because the private hospital is 2 1/2 hours away , so in case if there is emergency , I can go to government hospital, also take note if you planning to give birth at private clinic, if there is anything complicated , they will send u to gov hospital as well . Btw gov hospital save up a lot of my money, all of check ups, jects are FOC, and my private hospital doctor will just refer to the red book.

Those with more than 2 kids type mostly go to govt, which the charges is only RM25 total bill for delivery.

I was told that Malay thinks that more kids, more rezeki but you can see they have very poor health and hygiene. Poor parents not educated, it is only the rich Malays benefited from them by leveraging on racial politics. ---And all these innocent Malays just blindly believe and follow
Prices of delivery is not that expensive. You can get mid range class between RM5k to RM8k. However, it is the confinement centres are the ones with the most price jack up. As you may already know, confinement centres in Klang Valley can easily cost you RM8k to RM26k for 28 days.

If you can find RM7k, it's like the cheapest ever! so, most people goes outskirt a bit to seremban or nilai those area where at RM7k, you can get mid range class meals.
