My son is now 10 days old smile.gif

Hospital Name: Tung Shin
Normal Delivery: No
Vacuum: No
Cesarean: Yes (oblique lie / malpresentation... baby senget la)
Mummy Fees: 8k+
Baby Fees: 1k+
O&G Specialist: Dr. Chuah Bee Poh
Comments: Total cost Rm9k-ish. Was actually expecting it to be more since it's a surgery. Also, we got the Single occupancy room which is more pricey, around 200 a night. Totally worth it for surgery patient I guess, more privacy and quieter.

Also for those asking, I highly recommend (it might be compulsory, not sure) to visit the Klinik Kesihatan for the Pink Book. I just did my baby's birth cert and you need the book. Even if you plan to go private all the way like us, some blood tests and monitoring can be done at the KK nearest to you.

Also, when doing the birth cert, bring along the hospital appointment card even though they don't ask for it on the JPN website. If your pink book is pretty empty like my wife's they want to see the hospital card.

Is this the normal price for all private hospital.or does it varies a lot from hospital to hospital?

Sorry for late reply.

It is varies. If check at clinic, best to ask which hospital that the doctor will refer to.
Mine from start until end at SJMC cos I lazy go refer here and there.

Not gentle. lol
She tekan quite hard on my tummy using hand as well as during ultrasound scan. (as compare to my usual check up with my gynae).
It wont harm to my baby la just that i feel that she is rough in that sense (maybe too many patients)?

Most Government Hospital within RM500 can kawtim everything edy.

Most people spend less than rm200 to deliver their babies.

There must be a reason why private hospitals are sprouting up like mushrooms, even with the govt hospital charging so cheap.

For peace of mind mostly. I choose private coz I prefer to have the same doctor who I go for checkup during pregnancy to be then one to help me give birth. And if can afford it why not spend for your wife n future kid to be accorded the comfort that comes with it.

Congrats on ur new born!
Wao, your price seems to be lower than what I expected.
My baby boy was also under Dr. Chuah and was born on Malaysia Day.
But my price is a bit steep compared to yours.

Normal Delivery: Yes
Vacuum: Yes
Mummy Fees: 6k
Baby Fees: 1k

Wife was staying in single room for 3 days and not sure if the Public Holidays contributes to the high price.

UMSC..Approximately RM8k for C..
Bringing my wife to 2 gynaes at moment..Prof tan (umsc) and Ass.Prof Eugene Leong (ex UMSC) at BP Specialist Centre..
Probably in the last 3 months, will stick to Prof Tan as we are planning to deliver at UMSC..
Prof Tan - don't quite like him as hes not a people person..abit of weirdo (wears a bow tie) but he must be a smart ass..im sticking to him because I know my wife will be in safe hands during operation..just that he needs to work on his PR skills smile.gif

Eugene - very caring and spends time during consultation hours..Hes also good and experienced..i prefer him but hes now attached to Sri Kota Medical..quite far..One thing about him is his fishy character..Tends to recommend unnecessary tests..

I would like to share some input from my side instead for Government Hospital. It was the Shah Alam Hospital.
Initially, we plan to deliver the baby in Hospital Putrajaya, but since my wife's water broke a month earlier than expected, I had to rush to the nearest Hospital which is the Hospital Shah Alam (HSA). rclxub.gif
The HSA is fairly new in operation and it was built to reduce the load from Hospital Klang.

First impression of the Hospital was actually great. Like really blew my mind. It doesn't has the septic or that kind of hospital smell you get as you enter in. It's just normal in a sense that it doesn't have that special hospital scent.
Since the doctor says water broke early, gotta monitor and immediately admitted around 5am in the morning.

The nurses were REALLY friendly thumbup.gif . They know that my wife and I were newbie in this. sweat.gif So they gave a lot of suggestion and even pay extra attention for my wife's condition.
When the next day, my wife were ready to deliver, I was already standby in a room nearby. I was called into the delivery room when my wife is ready and accompanied her the entire time.

Since it was the week of Raya on July, it was consider low peak season tongue.gif Hence, my son was delivered with 2 doctors and 5 nurses surrounding her bed. sweat.gif
Because my son was pre-mature, he ends up in neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) 5 minutes later to further monitor his condition.

I cry.gif deep down and shed my tears having to see him inside incubation box when I was allowed to enter the NICU 30 minutes later.

Fast forward today, my son is now healthy and steadily growth of weight according to baby BMI. Think back about it, I was really grateful and thankful to every single nurses and doctors at the HSA. The ones I met and talked with were all very nice and patience. So there you go, my personal experience that may help some of you out there and if you're expecting a baby soon, WELCOME TO THE FATHERHOOD !

Hospital Name: Hospital Shah Alam (HSA)
Normal Delivery: Yes
Vacuum: No
Cesarean: No
Mummy Fees: RM 39.00 <- seriously??? shakehead.gif
Baby Fees: RM 48.00 (Include, NICU 4 days) WHUTTT....... blink.gif
Comments: Total cost .... no comments. I've uploaded the bills for you to take a look and judge for yourself.
