I think some of you have mistaken the functions of Torne. It records DIGITAL TV SHOWS only, not gaming videos. It can record TV shows while you are playing games on your PS but it doesn't record your video gaming session.

It's saying that you can record TV shows while you're playing games, not recording the game itself. Torne is useless outside Japan because it requires a network id card to work, like Astro.

If you're looking for a HD capture card, I suggest Blackmagic Intensity Pro. There are 2 versions which costs US$199 each. One captures 720p at most which is for PCI and the other can capture 1080p at most via USB 3.0. I have the PCI version which I got from ebay. I'm quite satisfied with it and made some test videos at 720p.

gameplay footage recorded using Hauppauge HD PVR
• using component cable 720p/1080i
• connected to pc/mac via usb for recording
• livestream compatible
• edited/rendered using Sony Vegas Pro 10

p/s: for 1080p HDMI real time pass through (recording w/out lag) u can check out the latest version for Hauppauge HD PVR2 ...

p/p/s: join our clan (PBMY) if u r playing KZ series & sub to my utube channel for more videos hehe

for HD PVR1 u need pc & tv for play/record games ... i play on my tv & record using lappy ... cannot play on lappy screen coz got delay, so i must play on my tv ...

but for HD PVR2 it has real time pass through (w/out delay/lag) so u can play/record using pc screen only ... u dont need tv for this ...
