draw anime, huh?? hmm..... lets see:
1) practice drawing the eyes at first. look at various anime/manga and notice how the eyes are drawn. remember, my CORE RULE NO.1 is 'the eyes is everything'. u can express all emotions with the eyes, and a badly drawn eyes will make the pic look distorted
i will post more later, now must go for class

thank you chewxy for that simple, yet informative notes. now, back to the lessons: 2) Draw chibi. chibi drawings, IMHO, is a simple, yet cute way of drawing anime. It is advicable that all anime drawing noobs start off with chibi art. from here, u can slowly expend your skills into more complex and serious drawings, or you can stick with chibi. It is important to note that chibi art is NOT a noob work, and it still takes practice to master. The reason of why chibi art is good for noobs is because u dun really need to have skills in drawing the anatomy of anime (but u still need to know some... well u cant have ppl's arm longer than their legs, huh?). Until next time, this is Yam, your favourite anime artist of LYN, signing off. Goodbye and have a nice day

| QUOTE (Cheese @ May 26 2004, 02:06 AM) | if i'm not mistaken, the purpose muslim women wear tudung is to keep men's uncontrollable lust at bay. quite like why the nun's wear a tudung over themselves as well. in fact, you're suppose to cover yourself up completely till even your eyes/fingers aren't seen. so it's not really meant to be 'cute' or for you to 'look at'. and its quite sensititve (and unfair) to remark wearing a tudung as 'bald' or not attractive. it's peoples religion dude:/
anyway here's a quick dump of tudung-animeish pics inspired by the 'tuding is not cute' sentiments.. if this offends anyone i'll remove it. |
by the great goodness of the world, its ninja girl!!!!
btw, if tudung is wat u say it is, its not doing a very good job, huh? look at the middle east for instance, the women there covers every single inch of their hide with cloth, and by golly, the countries there is one of the largest rape cases in the world...
another thing, (i know this is kinda racy) if tudung is wat u say its for again, wat is the purpose of it in art??? why would anyone rape a piece of paper???????? well, if anyone wants too, thats fine by me. another thing, wearing tudung gives an impression that those wearing it is I-AM-HOLLIER-THAN-THOU to other ppl...
please, for heavens sake, and by all means, if u ppl want to wear em, thats, again fine by me... none of my bloody business.. but there is a thin red line which everyone must not cross, which is the... | QUOTE | | ...I-AM-HOLLIER-THAN-THOU... |
line... (which is different for different ppl, and for me, as an artist, its in art) ____________ wow, tats was long, huh? anyway, i wasnt trying to be rude to anyone who's offended by my remark. sorry if i do

| QUOTE (Cheese @ May 26 2004, 10:18 AM) | er..i dont know where you get the facts but afaik the highest rape cases occur in the us and south africa (where you will rarely see tudungs:P).
as for :
its a matter of perception. everything has an artform. it just depends on how you look at it. modern tudungs today have their own designs, patterns, colors. as for the raping a piece of paper.. i dun get it..
lastly, i don't understand the holier than thou message, perhaps you feel you lack faith in your religion or are not religious enough and so the more religious types intimidate you?
either ways.. yea you're right. i had this malay classmate once and we nicknamed her ninja (out of good fun really, no anti race/religion agenda involved). also the one with the eyepatch is how i remember this fierce bm teacher i had in std 5.. she doesn't wear eyepatches but she carries this huge metal ruler and definately has this murderous pirate look:P |
