I know what you mean niel ... this is my master bathroom, more than 1 cm difference, sides are dirty, didn't polish n round off the edges further, top got some stains/marks as well.

waterproof gypsum/cement board for solid non-transparent, polycarbonate for semi-transparent and glass ... since the metal frame is there already, it can take the weight for these options and direct bolt on.

They are making it worse, damaging/too lazy to cover and protect the surrounding tiles.

Ed, please post that in the SD FB page, let their social media department handle this. Doubt posting here will get their attention. That's what I'll do later when I submit my defect list.

Agree with you on the windows, my sliding windows : back yard & master bedroom couldn't even close shut, railing out of alignment.
