My xbox 360's DVD tray cannot open when I press the eject button. It happened many times before so I would normally nudge the dvd tray so that it will come out. THIs time around, it wont. WHat should I do? Can I get it replaced? How much will it cost?

how do you position your xbox? horizontally or vertically?

last time, mine will not open in vertical position, i switch the positioning, and it works fine now.

if nothing works, i think, there's a rubber the disc drive that has worn out, but im not sure about this though. others might be able to help.

It's horizontal. I wonder if it's just the tray mechanism that needs replacing.

Sometimes it might be the rubber band that is dirty. Try to take it out can clean it, see if it fixes your problem

Or it could be the early symptom of rrod

There's a 'rubber band' that rotates the gears so that the tray can open. Sometimes when too much dust get stuck on it the gears will jam. You can try to google for more info.
