Flash? Hmm... i usually use AVI and mkv, shouldnt be much problems i suppose? (I dont have any vid higher resolution than 720p anyway)
*
Its about the HD videos on youtube.

Youtube HD demands more processing power, and the N8 uses Flash Lite, not full Flash 10.x.

Even if you could run full Flash, you can still have problem playing HD videos if your CPU speed is not up to par.

I heard Android Froyo supports full flash, no? If so, hows the 720p video performance?

Eh what's up with the Maxis contract?
*
From what I read here, not many people are happy about it. I avoid it like a plague.

In what sense?

So you mean purchasing the phone straight from Nokia THEN subscribe to a plan from Maxis would be a better bet?
*
Not sure. I suggest you talk to the ones that had the experience of being Maxis subscriber. I never subscribe to any plans and only use pre-paid.

N900 can play though you might wanna call it internet tablet tongue.gif
*
Well the N900 is more of a computer tablet than a phone.

But I wonder how FB game performs on that device. hmm.gif

GUYS, check this out, the things u have been complaining on the headset. The one of the left is not fully plugged in. Plug in your headset now "fully" and then check by seeing carefully. The one on the right is fully plugged in. You'll need some effort/energy to push it in for the first time.

Good example there. I also had the problem when I first tried it like the one on the left. Push it very hard till like the one on the right, then I can use the control volume, etc.

Plus make sure you use "headset" and not "headphone".

Have to pay right? I wish they do Avatar Lite. Convince me with a demo, and I may purchase the full version.

To be fair, they need to make money. No money, no game for Nokia.

Plus, its really cheap too. RM7+ for full Angry Birds is worth it.

The brightness affected the way you see the picture. Try testing the video running in the dark room, but with a torch light to fool the sensor thinking you're in a light up room.

You tend to notice this even when watching HDTV when its dark and bright.

Not a big issue.

On the virtual keypad (not the keyboard), how do you input the alphabet or enable predictive T9?

The same reason there's alphabets on your home/landline phone.
*
For landline phone, it makes sense, but this is a freakin mobile phone. It should be common sense to have it enable on the dialer.

On mobile phones you still can dial the "coded" numbers like 1-800-flowers... that's why the alphabets are there. But I still don't understand, why do you need to type actual text with a dialpad?? Never seen this feature on any phone before smile.gif
*
Please see this : http://nds1.nokia.com/phones/files/guides/...N8-00_UG_en.pdf

Page 37

Also, the N8 was suppose to have this feature, and it was even mentioned here (called Smart Dial):

Okay I get it now. But everyone else was replying to your original question : "On the virtual keypad (not the keyboard), how do you input the alphabet or enable predictive T9? "

There is no way the dialpad will type or display alphabets or T9... what is in the manual is a different feature.. you still type the pad and it will display NUMBERS and it will try to match with your phonebook.

Maybe this feature will be in the next firmware update?
*
Well I thought you have to use the predictive T9 when it comes to looking for names.

But the point is, such feature (smart dialing) is missing, and its even printed on the manual.
