julianne, it's in Kg Kuala Setiu, TERENGGANU. Northern part of Terengganu, I remember when I was 7 years old I went to PULAU PERHENTIAN with the fisherman's boat right from my Kampung's jetty.
Another 20km to the commercial jetty to Pulau Perhentian, Kuala Besut.

Hey Shin, what r those black dots all over the 1st pic? Looked like something I would get from scanning a photo print. BTW, how do you find the 20D compared to your D70?

certainly they are not dust... LOL
800*600 wont do justice for them, they are BIRDS!!!

QUOTE

due to the USM lens (Canon EF-S 10-22mm USM) used on 20D, the AF speed is no doubt a lot faster than my d70 + tamron, and a lil bit faster than cheap AF-S Kit lens + D70. The so-many-point AF is a lot better thann puny 350's 7point. indeed, the komtar shots was taken with P-Mode, Iso 400, Multi-AF, Extreme Wide Angle (16mm equip).

WkKaY, very nice pier shots! Great effort considering it was on film. I guess the panoramic effect was from cropping? #2 is my favourite, with the sun reflecting part of the sea.

shin, 2nd picture superbly done, you're at the right place at the right time, and you didn't let it slip away. Great improvements I've seen from you, the dSLR just unleashed what you're capable of and I believe we'll see more of it.

thumbs up

do u have any of the manual, aperture or shutter move?

this kind of shot is called, Long Exposure.
where the shutter speed is set to very very slow, and u need to mount it on tripod (camera)..

tips:-
set shutter > 1sec, set iso to lowest posible (for longer exposure), set f-stop to as stop as posible, but not adviseable to use smallest value as its near defraction, and it will affect image quality.
