Pose them in such a way that they are standing in parallel, so that they have roughly the same distance from your camera. Focus on their eye level, and have a decent shutter speed to avoid camera shake (or have a very steady hands!). Pretty much like it. Of course, if you want even better bokeh, you still need to get lens with larger apertures, like f/2.8 or bigger to have even more blur.
