Juz came back from KLPF.. Couldn't find any Crumpler camera strap. Bagman shoulder pad going for Rm10 only! I took 3 of them. Regret.. Should take 20. =P I put the shoulder pad on my camera strap haha. Got to try the Sony BIG lenses, I only remember the 70-300G lens.. whoa.. Weighed like 4kg ( + body). Cool place! =D

LOL, btw, can anyone clarify HDR and tone mapping to me?
The 'unrealistic' feel are created through tone mapping right?

For those looking to choose Sony Alphas...

In comparing between a55/a55/a560/a580

Just wanting to know pros and cons of these 4 latest models from Sony
*
1. Why do you choose a33/a55 over a560/a580 ?
EVF
10fps (for a55)
swivel screen
continuous autofocus in video
smaller size hence lighter

2. Why do you choose a560/a580 over a33/a55 ?
longer battery life
OVF (for those who dislike EVF)
slightly better IQ at high ISO (just a tiny lil bit observed through pixel peeping) since a certain amount of light is lost using the translucent mirror
bigger size hence better grip for bigger hand
add-on battery grip is available

Newbieeeeee, look in your Sony A380 box.

You will find a white book which will be very helpful in letting you know that your A380 only does 2.5 FPS, and how the infrared remote works.

noob questions here:
what else does a battery grip offers other than the additional battery slot and ease of taking vertical shot?

Why do you guys choose Adobe Lightroom over Adobe Photoshop?

didn't Photoshop give more manual control than Lightroom?
*
i think it's easier with lightroom in a way that you don't have to edit your pict one by one
imagine having taken tons of pictures waiting to be edited using photoshop... shakehead.gif

Another is how i create a vivid colour HDR in-camera process?
Most of my HDR is very bright. it's this normal?  doh.gif
*

Yeah....exactly like this.
The a55 in-camera HDR is like colour faded..... rclxub.gif

you might wanna read up HDR and tone mapping in wikipedia as a lot of ppl tend to assume that HDR are those surreal pictures (the actual technique for those pictures are tone mapped HDR) smile.gif

You see, this is the hallmark of inexperienced newcomers lusting after gears' comment or question. No offense but like I said if you need to ask what are the preferred wide angle lenses then you are not ready to buy any lens be it wide or tele. The reason is there is NO PREFERRED lens out there. Each photographer will have his/her own preference that others may or may not find appealing. No one size fits all solution.

So how do you know which lens is right for you? Through experience! There is no other way. No amount of reading of reviews can tell you which lens is right for you. You will have to go out there and shoot and experience the focal lengths for yourself to find the 'right' one. So stop asking and start shooting. The answer will come but most newcomers will not take that advise. They will blow money on lenses only to find that they do not use them all that much.
*
ask them get CZ 16-80 kaotim tongue.gif
IMO, lens selection depends greatly on shooting style and habit, but kit lens are the best when u're not sure what you wanna do (or greedy wanna shoot a bit of everything) since it covers a good range..
