this is so lame. you're using COST to justify your view that a phone is overpriced? don't you have any common sense?

people are obviously willing to pay a higher premium for iPhones as they think it's worth it. who cares how much it cost to make, it's the end product that's important. compare the purchases for iPhone vs Nokia N8, it's obvious customer sentiment shows the Nokia is the one which is overpriced.

put shortly, would you buy a phone which costs rm400 to make and is priced at rm800 which is good to use. or would you buy a phone which costs rm600 to make and is priced the same which is difficult to use? you're not buying pure gold here.

Nokia nerds, heh.

what on earth is a 'phone-lover'? is that short for 'phone-nerd'? gadget fans are switching to iPhone in droves, and Nokia has been steadily losing market share. why do you think that is? phones are complicated electronics, surely it would take more then 'trend' to shift people towards buying it?

and looking at this thread, all I see is 'Nokia good. iPhone for trend'. where is the actual reasoning? have you ever used both? seriously, don't be brand fanatics. cos' that's what you lot are.

have fun riding on your special bus.

A reply that i totally agreed with.
Used both phones first, then you'll know the difference.
If any of you wanted to argue about trend. Then answer me this; why did the other brands copy the design/hardware of the iphone? How bout the big touch screen with less button? Side scrolling menu? Pinch to Zoom?
It's okay, take your time to do the research and come back.

Finally, the costs both phone takes to be made.. I mean, come on, who cares? You got yourself an assignment from your lecturer, he/she don't gives a sh*t about how much effort that you've dedicated, but only wanted to see the end product. If it's good, they'll love it, if it's not, REDO + FAILED. Nuff said.

iFagers? I don't know if that's even a word. hmm.gif

Buying a phone that doesn't sux, it's worth it.
Buying a phone that doesn't have originality and aesthetic value, that "blows".

having a Nokia sure makes you wanted to swith phones again in the future, that will cost triple then the iphone, which is a waste.

Any phone will makes u wanted to switch phone again if phone manufacturer keep producing new phones. Unless the person is either satisfy or just don't want to change the phone until it dies, they won't change the phone. So where is your common senses? Ever heard every gen of iphone, iphone user will change it? Thats cost more than other phones out there  laugh.gif

I agree, but I do like to state that, Apple don't produce multiple products(phone) in the same year.
