Just got a TAB install a few minutes ago..
originally my fc is 7.9L/100KM

so tomorrow wanna try it on my route to johor see if there is any different.
Kevin tune it at 0.8..

New Update..
Just came back from Segamat Johor roughly 35+KM
Kajang -> Segamat,Johor
TAB Tune : 0.8
FC : 7.9L/100KM (Mostly driving at 120-140kmh)

Segamat, Johor -> Kajang
TAB Tune : 1.6
FC : 7.6L/100KM (Mostly driving at 110kmh)

Pickup and power not much different from original setting
fuel consumption only 0.09% different which if calculated from original FC

before using TAB
7.9L/100km = 0.079 per km -> which in RM is 0.079*1.95 = RM0.15 per km
after using TAB
7.6L/100KM = 0.076 per km -> which in RM is 0.076*1.95 = RM0.148(round up figure is RM0.15) per km

FC also not much different sad.gif , but this is on highway. Have not try for city use yet..will try on monday from kajang -> cyberjaya (100% at 110kmh)
see if there is any different

Yes, it works with your miniturbo. its install at the other side while minitebo is at the other side.
Yes, correct bro.
First of all , bro...

1. 35km is very small figure to calculate.

2. Different speed would yield different results. If you are calculating down to 0.076 decimal, everything you need to take into account. Eg. driving speed, traffics condition, weather condition, time line [cold morning/evening or a hot afternoon].

3. From johor to kajang and from kajang to johor ... one way might be uphill and the other downhill, its not accurate unless you measure from the same place to the same place. [if u know what i mean].

If you say trying at cyberjaya to kajang for few round ,in a few days, then probably u can see the results. But i do believe you have not found the sweet spot for your driving condition. I think you would want to try 1.8 setting.

Added on December 26, 2010, 10:51 amis it 35km or 350km ?

Bro not 35KM laa its 35+KM means more than 350KM.
I did take into account of different speed I've put it into the findings.
The condition is, driving from Kajang -> Segamat,Johor from 8.00am till 11.30am (normal morning not so hot or cold)
then from Segamat,Johor -> Kajang at 4.00pm(Raining) till 9.30pm(night time dee)
80% is flat 20% a bit uphill like a flyover..and I'm comparing with the lowest FC with my original FC is 7.9L/100KM

Original FC Kajang -> Cyberjaya+KL+Ampang+Puchong+Shah Alam for more than a 3 month = FC 7.9L/100KM (car service when reach every 5000KM)
Kajang -> Segamat, Johor = no traffic jam, FC 7.9L/KM
Segamat,Johor -> Kajang = no traffic jam,but raining FC 7.6L/KM

yeah, I am going to try it for a few day for 1.8 setting..then, 2.0 for a week..usually, my full tank would last me for 2 weeks if just from kajang-> cyberjaya back and forth..

Previous Findings..

Kajang -> Segamat,Johor
TAB Tune : 0.8
FC : 7.9L/100KM (Mostly driving at 120-140kmh)

Segamat, Johor -> Kajang
TAB Tune : 1.6
FC : 7.6L/100KM (Mostly driving at 110kmh)

Current Finding..
Kajang <-> Cyberjaya (back and forth for 200KM)
TAB Tune : 1.8
FC : 7.6/100KM (Max Speed 120kmh cannot go more cuz a lot of car in the morning and evening)

my opinion (strictly personal opinion only! not to flame IceCube nor his product..) :
If you just want to feel like your accelerator feel more responsive then this is the product for you.
If you want more power this is not the product for you (Dyno test only show increase in 1hp).
If you want fuel saving this is not the product for you (tested for city use..most who want fuel saving live a hectic life or a student).

will continue with tuning..see if got any different in FC..will post more in another 200KM (which is in 2 days time)

Bro IceCube if you do the calculation it won't go bellow RM0.15/km..and my original fuel consumption is 7.9L/100KM..
if only it goes bellow RM0.15 like RM0.12/km then we can calculate the time for return of investment (ROI)..if it won't go bellow RM0.15/km means there will be no return..means I just burn my RM200 for better response on the accelerator..the manufacturer claims 25% fuel saving and you yourself claim 10% to 25%..but I calculated its not even 10% just 2% only..for me if its does not have a ROI it is not saving any fuel at all..before TAB its RM0.15/km after TAB also RM0.15/km so where is saving??? the amount of money that come out from my pocket is still the same for every week..It means that my investment on the TAB product is a loss..

zerokidz,

Its not a loss for you, its a loss for me, I wouldnt want to take your money if you think you are making a loss. Come over my place, i'll return your money since its quite bothering you after purchasing tab.
Thanks for the great review and great personal opinion there.

If I say I'm not bothered then it would be a lie, but this is my review of the product. The purpose is to inform people about the product effect on Hyundai Accent 1.5 Version 2005, That TAB does not work with this model (well maybe just mine cry.gif ). I've tried 0.8,1.6,1.8,2.0, and 2.2 tuning setup..been travelling to n9 (balik kampung), jln2 with friends to midvalley, sunway, and KLCC, all that I use for my normal usage. I keep tap on the distance that I've travel and come up with the review

Car Model : Hyundai Accent 1.5, 2005 edition (everything is original no modification has been done..pure noob with cars)
TAB tune 0.8 : Not much different in power nor FC (tested for highway like I mention previously, same with the 1.6 setting)
TAB tune 1.6 : Increase on accelerator response time and decrease FC by 1% (not much for me and far off from the claims)
TAB tune 1.8 : same result as 1.6 but decrease FC by 2%(tested for 200KM when going to class and back from class from kajang to cyberjaya)
TAB tune 2.0 : decrease in accelerator response, but no different with FC (Tested for 200KM)
TAB tune 2.2 : feel like there is no power so I stop at setting 2.2 (Tested for 50KM)

The lowest FC that I got is 7.6L/100KM that is still RM0.15/KM which is the same with my original FC 7.9L/100KM, That is the end of my review..
If anybody feel that this review is in appropriate and offended them, I sincerely apologies notworthy.gif
Thank You for reading and happy new year!! rclxm9.gif
