Hmm it depends if you tune too high you will hear ur engine timing different too much wont harm but might less power and consump more fuel just tune to ur engine needs smile.gif happy tuning however kevin selling here really is good unit. Advised to those low budget wanna get either petb or tab..i suggest take tab..and of coz depends on what you need smile.gif
*
then i'm on the greed side then coz i took both. hahahaha.
so far the FC very good in city driving. heavy jam my FC does not shoot up like normal. its slow & steady increase. before this, it just shoot up like no tomorrow. lolz.

i expect could get at least extra 50KM (10% more than usual) as per my KM to empty indicator shows.

okay! i've screwed up on FC review!!!

yesterday night i've to go back hometown, so i've to refuel my tank without able to finish the first full tank!
damn. i was so convinced that i could write a proper review.

my forte got 8 bars for fuel indicator. last night it was at 2 last bars. i refuel rm50 (27L) and to my surprise my Distance To Empty (DTE) estimation shows 544KM left! (with 0.75 bar empty; figure is the same like my DTE (without TAB) previously.

i believe if i refuel full tank it will shows 600KM over DTE.

and for previous days, i drove 90% city condition (mix light and heavy foot driving style) and settled at 8.2~8.3L/100KM (normal will be 9L/100KM in average) now i lazy to take note on FC review anymore. coz it takes long time to complete. hahaha.

will only post my DTE as guide for forte owners only.

by the way, here is my summary after 1 week test
1) FC improved a lot - gain extra 50KM (minimum) for nearly 100% city drive
2) FC improved a lot during idling at traffic light or when trapped in traffic jam
3) pickup remain the same

other mod that i've done and may contribute for better integration with TAB is the following
1) performance air filter
2) iridium spark plug

the following is the stock condition of my car
1) stock crank pulley
2) forte stock heavy 17" sport rim (+ 1 spare tyre with 17" sport rim)

picture below shows my 1st full tank DTE (normally i only can get between 530KM and 560KM only for every full tank refuel)
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

can't wait to change lightweight sport rim 17" for better FC!!!
thumbup.gif rclxms.gif rclxm9.gif

p/s: i use combo product TAB + PBTE for the above review. didn't do any grounding yet.

bro since now i hav a reading of 76hp (stock car)~ due to my car really still new XD

i goin to dyno next month again by myself i see any different~ i straight go for a run with TAB+PBTE ...don unplug it just stick with it i believe it will higher...too bad it need time to adapt or else haha~~

i really satiesfied~ RM200=1hp increase(for the moment) is alot worth it.

think twice u do e-manage or piggyback or others mod with amount of thousands cant even guarantee u more than 10hp increase right ^^
*
rm200 for 1HP increase is really good.
i take forte for example. with changing to lightened crank pulley also only increase 1HP. but it is costly bout rm600.

where's the other result for other car bro cube?

sad i could not make it yesterday. hope can join you dyno later on. will invite one of my friend to do dyno together and i want to compare his mod with mine (minimal mod)

my fc report after 2 rm 50 tanks :

better FC, gets me extra 30 km's of the usual 300 km for 50 bucks of petrol, means 330 km.

pbte review :

- ac kicks in not much dim of headlamps.
- auto gearchanges smoother.
- no performance gain.
- slightly better sound on my HU.

anyway congrats on the dyno session.
*
PBTE or TAB bro? i tot u only buy TAB.. hmm.. gain 30KM for RM50 is a lot bro.. dont play2.. hahaha

btw FC update.. convoy with my friend last 2 days at karak and LPT highway..
his odo clocked 8.8L/100KM but mine only 7.8L/100KM. same car model, same route, same high speed convoy.

and now i think confirm i've gained extra 50KM.. for 2nd tank reading now... btw i've just retune them from 1.8 to 1.4 settings...

Just got mine tonight. Installed for me at Shell Station opp Kelana giant. My 1.5 Manual 90' Saga idles at 800rpm previously with ac on. but after installing, the idling speed dropped to 500 with ac on. any advice? Icecube tuned it to 1.8. any advice ppl?
*
why u scared lower idling rpm? engine stalled?
just tune back to lower setting. like me, at first tuned at 1.8, now in the middle between 1.0 and 1.8... 1.4 i guess..

vibration kicked in...kinda uncomfortable with it...my car is 1.5 manual. but wont it be funny or anything to set it to 1.4?
*
just tune it to 1.0 also can. it not related to your car engine capacity at all.. just some numbers as a guidance for us to tune.
the bigger the more air will suck in (besides our existing air filter).

mine 1.6 forte, use 1.4 settings (previously set at 1.8)
my friend 2.0 forte, use 1.8 settings (previously set at 2.3)

it's just a number.

reason for me to lower down the number because already have performance air filter installed. dont want excessive air inside.

bro icecube, please correct if there is any misleading info.. smile.gif

I'll let you know if got drop by, pm you the details already.
Thanks bro. PBTE works great together with TAB. New brake pads need to "run in" first, so careful since got TAB and PBTE is very powerful ..  icon_rolleyes.gif

am using the combo and for city driving averaging between 7 ~ 8L/100KM now..
previously with my driving style can clock between 8 ~ 9L/100KM only..

Taipan052,

I also feels like what you say. I tune tune so many times and got it lower and it got better. LOL. I think at first we need to set it higher eg.1.8,then slowly tune it down til you get the perfect sweet spot. You will know when you feels the car is smooth as silk and power comes when you just tap on the pedal.

Now you running 1.0 mileage DTE got improve ? 700km? tongue.gif  thumbup.gif

i think the bigger the number, the bigger the hole and lesser the pressure.. thats why.

If i take average 44L when we fill up the full tank (right after the empty tank light up), basically the calculation will be

1) 589.1KM/44L = 13.4KM/L
or
2) 1L/13.4KM * 100 = 7.46L/100KM

Then compare with ODOmeter reading.. it's much pretty accurate isn't it?
But wait i fill up full tank tomorrow okay and will re-calculate on actual Liter/Full tank used.

Disclaimer: The above review solely on Forte. In average, I could only get 530~550KM per full tank for the same driving condition before installing IceCube Combo (TAB + PBTE). Improvement on FC is not guaranteed. This review only applicable to my forte. Other cars or forte maybe could not get the same figure as above. After 4 full tanks I could say improvement of at least 50KM extra for my full tank mileage.

Bro ice,
When i set TAB setting to 2300cc, it (the setting) should remain there no matter how many km i drive my car right? Some how my TAB setting keep turning automatically by itself to much lower setting (i.e. 2000cc) after about 40-50km driving my car. Is it normal?

wow!! you got ghost ECU! hahahahha

i think that unit faulty, claim warranty. hehehe
mine no prob.

okay. this is my finding for those who a bit skeptical with this device.

at first i also kinda afraid of any outside particle going inside the engine without being filtered. just now i open up my air filter box and to my surprise there are lots of tiny dust inside them (the dust get through the filter).

when i take a look at the filter, got 4 or 5 small hole if you see closely.

so in conclusion, even air filter could not guarantee 100% filtration.

i'm using simota performance air filter (cotton) by the way.

so, if you're afraid with this TAB, you should afraid of using any performance air filter also. stick to stock air filter if you wanna peace of mind.

p/s: for this one, i want milo ice tabur ya bro Kevin. lolz.. tongue.gif

Another quick review from me:

Original Thread on FC review

summary

Journey Route:
Pandan Indah -> Sg Buloh -> Kamunting -> Kepala Batas -> Alor Setar -> Kepala Batas (80% Highway; speed 110 ~ 120KM/H)
Kepala Batas + Alor Setar city drive (20%)

Traveled with 5 adults (3 male + 2 female) + boot full of luggage.

Manual Calculation (refuel 42L full tank)

604KM / 42L = 14.4KM/L

or

100 / 14.4KM/L = 6.9L/100KM
