If these products are so good, how come no race teams use the products in their car? ;).

A quick google search for "Air bleeds into the inlet manifold" should save a lot of people from parting with their hard-earned.

I'm sorry seller but this is similar to the power balance bracelets with similar impossible explanations as to what the product actually does. This however is worse because it can actually cause harm to everyone in the form of increased pollution, and to the car owner in the form of possible engine damage if it makes the engine run too lean (setting the device to the "wrong CC" would probably do that.).

I'm not sure why you are amused that i created an account here - a prerequisite for posting is to create an account. You aren't able to post as a guest here. I was researching fuel saving scams for a college project and found this place.

These devices basically do the same thing that a carburetor adjustment would do such as changing the carburetor jetting only for a lot more $$$ and added weight to the car as well. In modern cars the Lamda sensor is at the exhaust - so when the device introduces more air into the system the computer quickly realizes this because the mixture exiting the engine is not optimal.

The problem is that the engine management system only fixes the lamda to a certain extent - so with your device if you are letting in too much air to throw the lamda reading off so that 20% more fuel for example is required the management system in effect assumes it is a faulty sensor and only fixes it up to 10-15%, resulting in a leaner mixture, giving a small savings in fuel consumption (2-5%). So yes in a way the device might save fuel if is letting in too much air. But the tradeoff is dramatically increased pollution as well as more engine wear, and possibly loss of power.

Other than making the mixture too lean another way that the device can damage the engine is by providing an unfiltered source of air directly into the engine. Hopefully this product at least has an air filter - if it does can it be changed?

Now I'm not sure if you are mislead as to the benefits they provide or if you also believe in the misinformation. Either way I'd just like to inform buyers so that they can make an educated decision before parting with their cash.

In many countries products like these aren't sold because the consumer commissions are strong enough so that people selling the devices very quickly get found out and have to refund all the money and/or pay additional damages. Unfortunately in Malaysia this is unlikely to happen.

Some reading: Air Bleed Devices
And the link to the Full Site to learn about the "magnet" fuel savers and other automotive scam products.

The website also has a bit on the electrical type of product that you also sold.

To counter your justification as to why these devices aren't installed by Perodua for example where you stated it is simply too expensive for them.. then have a think about this quoted from the above site:
QUOTE
The other reason why these devices can't work is simple business. Fuel consumption is a very hot topic in the European car industry at the moment, because it is directly related to carbon dioxide, which is a "greenhouse gas". Consumers and legislators are demanding ever-better fuel consumption from new cars. The industry is investing literally billions of pounds on more efficient engines, for example diesels (and we wouldn't do that if we were in the pay of oil companies, would we?) But these more efficient engines are also much more expensive to make - for example a diesel will produce about 15 - 20% less carbon dioxide, but adds about £500 - £1000 to the cost of a car. These "fuel saving devices" claim nearly as much benefit for a tenth of the cost - the car industry would not only sell its grandmother for this kind of saving, but sacrifice its first-born son too!

Now if you happen to have some proper test data to back up your claims you should stop selling this device to unfortunate end users and take it to car manufacturers.

If you know it's a scam and yet keep selling them then that's cool I wish you the best and luckily for you it is unlikely you will get sued. I'm sure you will conjure up another great reply that seems to make sense to some people that will still buy your product.

I don't sell cars or any automotive products so my interest in this matter is simply to better inform consumers and protect the environment.

Joined 7.37am, posted 7.42am ...you created a new account just to post here, i am amused! Thanks for the bump. As suggested , we dont recommend going too high as it will cause bad fc and power loss. I am sure you didn't even read the whole thread. Thanks for your concern. And if its just an air bleed why does many feels the different compared to other brand on the market. Something for you to wonder.
