Bro, i'm new here. Sorry but just wanna ask sumthing. Did the 6 little hole suck air? if so, this TAB should also have filter inside to prevent dust from going inside the intake manifold and also to the combustion chamber for a longer life of the engine. But for the performance i guess it really worth to buy it. biggrin.gif Interested to have it, can post to ipoh aaa... Still promotion isn't it...

Ya the little 6 hole sucks in air. The tune-able valve is to restrict the air flow and its to small will notto be able to allow any particle to enter the unit itself.

New cars stock air filter have even bigger holes and dust and sand did penetrate thru the stock filter element. I seen few pesona, saga blm and even cps campro satria neo also have sand in their air filter engine side. I wonder if the original proton element is doing filtration or where the sand came from at the stock air filter.

Already test the TAB for a short run around 50km... I'm using waja cps auto 09 standard... With 1.0 setting what can i say :

1. cps-1st profile / VIM-long runner --- don't feel anything, just the same.
2. cps-2nd profile / VIM-long runner --- just the same.
3. cps-2nd profile / VIM-short runner --- feel little bit lighter. (Maybe for VIM-short runner, the quality of air-fuel mixture give some advantages)
4. FC - don't bother yet...

Will try to adjust the setting... But for me i'm quite satisfied with the product even for a little improvement compare to the price, worth it and the sound, give me quite good impression... hahaha...
How about other cps user... Share la wif me... I'm just beginners... biggrin.gif

PBTE - give to my friend using 6A12tt...

what mean "cps-1st profile / VIM-long runner" ??

This from paultan.org.

1st Profile : Engine Speed = 0 to 3,800rpm / CPS = Low Lift / VIM = Long Runner

2nd Profile : Engine Speed= 3,800rpm to 4,800rpm / CPS = High Lift / VIM = Long Runner

3rd Profile : Engine Speed= Above 4,800rpm / CPS = High Lift / VIM = Short Runner

VIM switches between a long intake manifold at low RPMs and a short intake manifold at higher RPMs. According to Proton, a longer intake manifold is used at low RPMs to achieve slower air flow; this promotes better mixing with fuel. The short intake manifold allows more air in faster. This is beneficial at high RPMs. This seems to be slightly different compared to the usual VIM system where intake manifold width is also varied to control air velocity, and velocity tries to be maximised, but the idea behind the CPS VIM seems to be not wanting the air to go in as fast as possible at low revs to promote air-fuel mixture? Whatever it is, it seems to work, as the VIM does not stand alone but works with all the other engine systems together over different RPMs.

The CPS system uses a switching tappet and a trilobe camshaft to switch between two different cam profiles. One cam profile provides low valve lift, while the other cam profile has a high valve lift. The low valve lift cam profile is used at engine speeds of under 3,800rpm to maintain idling smoothness and ensure lower emissions, while the high lift cam profile is used when the engine is spinning more than 3,800rpm to improve peak horsepower and torque.

--- Sorry, what i mean for cps-1st profile the proper way to say is low valve lift... Profile actually have 3 according to above..

Already test for 1.8 setting tonight... What can i say is my high end, aiyakkk drop gila2, very2 slow to reace at 5.5k rpm compare before installation of TAB... The engine sound also seems back to normal... But feel a little bit lighter for low end... I'm quite satisfied with the 1.0 setting than 1.8... Very2 down after test this setting sad.gif , but don't get me wrong k... smile.gif
