Battery performance update:

Full charge on 16th Oct 12.00midnight. After full charge, <10 sms, <5 calls, ~10 minutes web browsing on wifi

17th Oct usage: < 5 pics @ 12mp and xenon, web browsing @ 30mins on wifi, <15 calls, ~30sms, 1 hour 20 minutes non stop mp3 via headset, bluetooth car handsfree (myvi built-in) ~30 minutes

Now at 50% (tap the battery icon, then click again on battery, it will show you the % left). <10 calls, <15 sms, bluetooth hands free @ 50 minutes (Monday morning jam)
I'd say with "normal" usage it matches one of the reviews at 2 days and quite possibly stretching into the 3rd day. Personally, it meets my requirements.

Forget about N8 & join the N9 club next year.

I follow MeeGo's IRC channels.
Currently MeeGo for ARM based device is entering compilation period.For now It'll be released for N900.
Since Nokia mentioned that their 1st MeeGo device will be ARM based,I'm assume that N9 is that device & it's still on track to be released in Jan/Feb next year.
Also some from dev team indirectly mentioned that N9 is indeed in work

However MeeGo 1.2 will be something special.It'll be the OS for the 1st Nokia + Intel Moorestown based device.One of the special addition is the ability to run x86 based program directly with much conversion in the phone.

Maemo's PR 1.3 was just announced.So seems like Nokia still trying to maintain all 3 OS.

About MeeGo = rebranded Maemo,it's yes & no.
MeeGo do have some maemo's appearance & functions but the gui has undergone heavy transformation + there are some new functions taken from intel's moblin.Main difference between Maemo & MeeGo is the GUI transformation.It's done because from Maemo 5's feedback it's seems that average people having difficulties with Maemo's GUI.
Choose a frequency that no other station use.Example is lower than 90.0Mhz & 104.0Mhz

It's difficult for N9 to  have same cam as N8. Too slim, dont u think? Like E7. I saw N9's pics already, similar to E7 but better design, and even slimmer (if not equally slim).

Well..Pre-production phone & production phone could be different.
Do you know when N8 was 1st sent to production it had answer & reject button like 5800XM?Eventually the design was changed.It should be the same case with N9.If thickness addition is needed to accommodate large camera sensor I believe Nokia will change the design.

AFAIK, only StyleTap which is PalmOS emulator on Symbian. I dont think Android and iOS emulator exist yet, if it did, probably unusable.
Symbian phone can be installed with Win 95/98 if u insist... LOL

For Nokia you're stuck with whatever OS that your phone comes with.They won't upgrade the entire OS only provide firmware updates probably because they want the best troublefree tested OS for the phone.

But I expect things to change with MeeGo.If you have delved into Maemo's world you should know that we have our own saying:"If the OS is imperfect,we'll try to perfect it ourself"
This is the main advantage of open source.The open community is capable delivering stable working OS to end users.So far they have delivered fully working new Maemo OS for Nokia 770(IT) & Android for N900(New update coming soon)
Symbian is also open source but I don't see much people developing the OS because it simply lack power that MeeGo/Maemo/Android offers.

But in future I do hope that Nokia will follow other company way of giving full OS update choice instead of bugfix.We'll know more in November.

I like my screen to be naked. but i think its best to put SP since my other phone with gorilla glass have scratch on it. Better safe than sorry

add more, after removing nokia stock SP, the screen feels more responsive.
