u never use the 3G band for calling.. is is around 2100Mhz here in Malaysia....
ur GSM only 900Mhz or 1800Mhz....
which mean ur phone it self.. u off all the network, u already have 2 different bands running..1 is GSM , 1 is UMTS... but technically speaking.. it actually have more.. like GSM.. it already have 2(up n down) by itself...
OK a bit clear. Not that all too familiar with 3G network, only recently I began to take notice after Digi launch their 3G network near my area.
Sad, looks like only its only me who has problem with my given headset, I think I need to bring back to the shop to ask them why I can't hear people sing in some parts and why I can skip to next song by pressing the skip button on the headset
Did you fully insert the headphone?
Also for the control.
Home button > Setting > Phone > Accessory > Make sure "Headset" is the default, not "Headphones", otherwise you cannot control the volume / skip
don't think there is any burn mark effect in OLED....
Really?
QUOTE
Plasma displays are highly susceptible to burn-in, while LCD-type displays are generally less so. Because of the more rapid luminance degradation of current organic compounds used in OLED-type displays, OLED is even more susceptible to burn-in than plasma.[citation needed] In addition, the wide variation in luminance degradation with OLED [1] will cause noticeable color drift over time (where one of the red-green-blue colors becomes more prominent).
In the case of LCDs, the mechanics of burn-in are different than plasma and OLED, which develop burn-in from luminance degradation of the light-emitting pixels. For LCDs, burn-in develops in some cases because pixels permanently lose their ability to return to their relaxed state after a continued static usage profile. In more typical usage profiles this image persistence in LCD is only transient. All major LCD manufacturers' warranties exclude coverage for burn-in (permanent image persistence) as a result.[citation needed]
Both plasma-type and LCD-type displays exhibit a similar phenomenon called transient image persistence, which is sometimes confused with screen burn but is not permanent. In the case of plasma-type displays transient image persistence is caused by charge build-up in the pixel cells (not cumulative luminance degradation as with burn-in), which can be seen sometimes when a bright image that was set against a dark background is replaced by a dark background only; this image retention is usually released once a typical-brightness image is displayed and does not inhibit the display's typical viewing image quality.
OK followed what u instructed, sound improve, at least no more echo but still very soft, not as loud like how I blast on my N73 last time. I still cannot press the control buttons on my headset/headphone, have to manually touch the screen to change. I even change the defaults from headphones to headset and vice versa again, still the same
Try this.
After choosing headset as default, play your music. Pull out the headphone, re-insert the headphone, and see if you can control the skip/volume.
hmm... I m not sure.. so I asking...  how does it do?
Register the email widget to work with one of your email accounts. I set my the widget to check my hotmail.
You can set the email widget to check the email at certain time interval. I set mine every 1 hour, 7 days a week, from 8am to 12am.
So at 8am in the morning (provided I turn on Wi-Fi), the widget will auto connect to Wi-Fi, do a quick sync to your hotmail account, and disconnect once done. You will see tiny light blink or hear the tone indicating you have mail.

then that is not push mail anymore.. that is a pull mail...
but I heard can work wt Exchange to get it push....
Is it? I got the term confused. But either way, as long as it retrieve my mail without worrying about the data cost, I'm happy enough with the feature.
Haven't tried exchange yet.

by the way, maybe i slowpoke, actually no need remove all the widget to off the wireless auto connect thing, do you guys notice there is a "widget to offline mode" in options ?
Yes, notice that. But even if you offline it, if you have the email widget running, you have to set that one to not go online all the time.

Push mail do not rely on ur phone to check the server... there is another server to keep checking the mail for u.. once there is.. it will directly send to u(client in phone/pc)...
Pull mail is yes... the mail client in ur phone or PC pulling the mail from the server.....
I never tried push. I see what I can find out about pushing the email for the N8.
All this while I hear about push email for blackberry. Never did bother about it until now.
of course that is big different... and when u use push mail.. U must be in Data plan.. the server will check u got an email and send to ur phone instantly.... U delete in ur phone.. ur mail server mail also deleted.. .U dont have to check again in ur PC.... a lot of big corporate send email like send SMS.. they need to respond real fast.. a lot of business rely on email... and they need it fast...
I tried it with the email widget, delete the email, synchronize it, and I check my internet hotmail on PC, also got deleted.
But being pre-paid, I think pull email is the way to go.
yah... normal mail prefer using pull mail with interval time retriving... but last night i check the wifi connection keep triggering every 1 minute (sharp), not sure which widget/apps trigger it though...
If you put the widget in offline mode, it shouldn't happen by itself. Must be the email setting.
guys just wanna ask...why i can't seem to disconnect my data plan for good? its like i turned off the widgets to offline mode..but it still auto reconnects.. =.=
Do you have your email widget? If so, check the setting for synchronization and you either reduce the frequency of email update of turn it off completely.
Just tried Ovi Maps.. it loaded quite fast and showed my location on the map. So I assume the map is already pre-loaded on N8? No need to download map to use offline?
