we all know they always have half-baked firmware. never i see any nokia come out with some stable firmware. need to wait for 6 months down the road only the full capability can be seen. fail

No idea, if i never sync to ovi suite, i will be in rage now. Thank god just click sync, all done.

didnt do any reset. press the power button to on only after plug in the charger. if by pressing the power button to on is hard reseted, then i guess i did it

this is why i don wanna use it as main phone yet @@

Added on October 19, 2010, 11:43 amdamn funny, one of my friend's sister's friend gotten iphone, and she keep deny to all the antenna issue/crack issue bla bla..somemore everytime my friend's sister try to advice her to get protector or something, she like starting to become angry and start deny this and that...lol

wow... then it seem after battery depleted, the N8 will auto hardreset itself during next reboot??
anyone have the ready to be hardreset N8 that mind to try to confirm this?? (left the battery depleted and the phone self turn off, wait for a few hours, plug in charger and reboot) if this happen really due to the battery depleted it suppose able to be re-generate...

Agree... to me.. I avoid buying first batch of Nokia at all cost base on previous experience...


Firmware issue nothing to do with where the phone made....
Malaysia using many batch of Made in China Nokia already...

Any1 want to try this for us? Let the battery kong first, then charge and press power button to on and see whether it hard resets? See if others have same problem (I believe not everyone).

This is one of the reason that i dont want to buy first batch of the N8. Sure some issue down the line. Just wait what is outcome latter when Nokia solve this issue of Dead N8

we wait and see how... so far the "dead N8" happen on me once already....

we can also laugh back those fanboys that we can turn bluetooth/wifi on/off in 10 seconds, with the layered settings menu iOS have, they will never get there in time
unless of coz, they jailbreak...but then most fanboys don do that, they are loyal to steve, and steve forbids jailbreaking

If this is true the phone can buang to tong sampah dy... esp for business user have some important note/ email in it... imagine how frustrated it can be...

Nop, not for me. I've left my phone to switch off on its own & let it all midnight with empty battery. Next morning it was fine when I charge & on my phone. Your phone has a buggy hardware may be?

i think the dead N8 cases user face now can also blame the super unstable firmware?
Nokia, if u reading this:
Next time get the freaking firmware stable before u even officially launch a phone

It will last 3 days on normal average usage. Last full charge on 16th October night time.
19th October morning - 20% left.

I think it doesnt happen on every phone.
