Not get rid of it, just reduce the frequency of email checks.

Go to your email widget. Once inside your mailbox:

Option > Settings > (your email account) > Synchronization

From there you can set the "retrieval frequency".

Home button > Setting > Connectivity >WLAN > Option menu > Settings

For "Show WLAN availability" to NEVER
For "Power Saving" to Enable

fb didn't kacau it seems coz i think it follow the offline/online widget controls..mail widget on the other hand seems to have its own settings

u go Setting>Connectivity>Setting>Destination. Find which culprit that auto connect and delete it

i made it to one day...it doesn't matter coz i dun really get much mails so i rather retrieve it manually if possible...

the auto connect already stopped...i'm not worried about the data connectivity but more of the battery life..lol..coz if i'm not mistaken, leaving it always connected would make the phone warm as well

Oh man.. I feel really weird using this N8.. 1st touch screen phone i ever had..~ i think i need about 1 week to "synchronize" with this device.. huhu.. Nyway, i using N8 green.. count me in k.. thumbup.gif

See,I told already that Nokia planned to include Nokia Messaging in all their smartphones.

It's bit hard to get used to full touch screen based phone after using normal phone.
Give it sometime,you should be able to get use to the overall functions.After all symbian phones are easy to learn.
