Guys i dunno this is true or not, but i heard from my cousin who has a fren working for proton. The fren said that Inspira will have a campro engine. But not now. Maybe facelift? Its like waja. 4g18 > campro. Inspira 4b10 > cps ? sad.gif
*
False cuz already stated very clearly in the Technology Transfer Contract that Mitsubishi doesnt want any changes to their Lancers infear that a rebadge would bear negative image when engine/chasis is touched. Either Proton gonna replace Inspira with their in-house design with a Campro would be more feasible as a 2nd gen Inspira.

Just set a race of 20 laps, see which car can last long and since Lancer GT got CVT over heat issue then you should have a good advantage wink.gif
*

I don't care about the long waiting time.

If checked back the earlier list, only inspira 2.0 got bodykit.

That's not good, 1.8 owner also willing to pay the bodykit....

Proton ,pls give more option for this.....
*
ya la all this version version bodykit sure got wan .. need to wait onli .. chill bro, not yet fully launched also the first batch ... you see Forte also same case .. first few batch dun get Bodykit as option, and after a while Bodykit comes together and option too .. just wait it out ..

Yeah... so that spareparts are cheaper from Proton, but Lancer remains more superior. Is that what you mean? Sorry if I misinterpreted you.

seems like proton like to invert things.  The engine size is on the left, instead of right.  the speedo meter, RPM and speed gauge also invert from original lancer.  The front bumper is invert from mad face, to smiley face.

Just hope they don't invert the signal and wiper just like other proton cars.  hmm.gif
*
the engine size ? what do your mean ? the speedo they are following the new facelifted Lancers (with coloured LCD) where their RPM and speed is diff with the prefacelifted Lancers (those LCD is orange and all marketed in Malaysia). Even the EvoX has the same placement rpm/speed as the Inspira ... lol .. so i guess they just use the new meters and replaced with the orange LCD display to cut cost. Nothing fancy hehe

is it true that only the first few thousand units come with MIVEC engine, while the rest will come with Campro engine? because the SA says its using campro engine, right?
*
Have to wait until Phase 2 which is due on 2011, there will be a major facelift on the Inspira. Not sure if the engine will be changed or not, but it is said that 60percent would be localized can customized instead of the Phase 1, 40percent..

original lancer don't have lotus tuning right?

i meant in the article, proton is trying to say that they are part of the lancer development but pulled out mid way, it's total bullcrap... just admit it's a rebadge... why want to malu malu?
*
Inspira was tuned by Proton (which undergo Lotus training), try check the brochures again it never mentioned any Tuned by Lotus (as in Satria Gti).

The article quoted

QUOTE
Under the project, Mitsubishi and Proton were to use their own upper body designs, which would result in two very distinctive models.

Its a clear indication that both were trying to design two different distinctive models on their own but Proton pulled out while Mitsubishi continued with their own model. Means Proton model scrapped, and Mitsubishi model proceeded and became Lancer. It doesnt mention Proton is part of the Lancer development.

This Inspira is actually better than normal lancer gt... no offens la
No such thing, each got their pros and cons. Suspension settings are diff, GT more on performance while Inspira2.0 more on comfort.

Are a lot of people opting for the manual version of the Inspira? I think it would be quite fun to drive it with a stick

ya cuz very seldom we get a manual variant for such segments. Manual is like getting lesser and lesser...
