I was one of the lucky 11 who took delivery of the car during the launch.

I had the silver 2.0 version. Been pretty happy with the car. I don't have a lancer and haven't test drove one before. Had my friend who did and commented the interior, engine sound, are just like the lancer. Road comfort is better than lancer. But the doors do sound hollow. flex.gif

I'm sticking to the original body kit and bumper. Think it look quite nice. Of course, I wish they have given 17 inch wheels instead, but the 16 inch is not bad looking. It is a personal preference. cool2.gif

I had a perdana v6 before and I have all praise for that car. I hope this car will be the same. Cheers.

Thanks for d welcome.

After 3 days with the car, I am impressed with the ride and handling. It is like glued to the road. I made some sharp corners without breaking, just played with the shifters and it handles marvelouslly. And these are bends like 45 degrees on a slop down road. To be exact, it is the road in front of the new taylor's college. Road noise is minimal, but rather gearbox noise is higher..... cry.gif Heard it is traditional MITSUBISHI issue.

Acceleration is nice, but don't wanna push it too hard before the 1st service.

Little details like Auto wiper and Auto lights are nice. Just switch it to Auto and everything is done without my intervention. Dashboard looks plastic-ky. I like all the leather seats, steering wheels etc. I have the 2.0 version. The quality of the seats is very nice which gives me a good, firm position during driving. Rear seat is spacious enough and rear passengers have never complain about leg space.

The stereo sounds decent. But the material used on the knobs is disappointing. They should at least have some chrome knobs to enhance the look, but they didn't. It is still Clarion. Simple enough to operate and such.

Central locking doesn't lock automatically. I have to manually lock it. Unlike other cars, the central locking mechanism works by either RPM or brake application. vmad.gif

All these were done without any test drive on Lancer. I haven't done so and don't think I will wanna do that. I am happy with my Inspira at the moment. thumbup.gif

Cheers.

I've to provide some explanations to the issue of central locking as I was d one who mentioned about it in one of the earlier post.

It has keyless entry and central locking mechanism. I used the key to lock and arm my car when I left. I enter it with button on my key to disarm and unlock the doors, all 4 of them.

What it didn't have: when I drive the car, it doesn't lock itself automatically with either brake or rpm mechanism. I've to lock it myself after I enter the car.

I hope I made it clear enough. Don't want to cause any unnecessary confusions here. I love my Inspira. :-)

[quote=matkela,Nov 15 2010, 08:39 AM]That reminds me to ask our only gentleman that is going around with the Inspira, jkchow, another question.
Are your rims dirty now after 4 days with brake-dust and was cleaning tedious?

I wish I could be Bill Gates,,,,..... but alas, turn oooout to be a poor man... blink.gif what to do? Life is tough. can only afford a Inspira. But I guess even if I am rich, I won't buy a Lancer today. Enough said. blush.gif
