because the funniest butthurt was the guy in 0-100 forum, who posted that he will sue mitsu/proton for butthurting his feeling after his beloved GTS bought recently going to be a base for inspira. according to him, it is less than a year, so he has been butthurted max. but hey, that might not be the same case for you, unless you too, had just bought yr ride within this 2 year.

anyway, i'd still ask the same question to those who fit in the category of lancer owners within this 2009/2010 year purchase. If you never bothered to read, why bothered to butthurt now?

if your ride has been with you since 2007 (year launch), then you already enjoyed yr lancer 3 years ahead of others. u might feel the salt abit now but, that's too bad for u. i would understand the feeling of those early buyers, but definately not recent ones. as i've pointed out, the guy who was going to sue mitsu/proton is a recent buyer. so what's the thing about maturity? i don't think that's matured. its like the singaporean who wanted to sue the casino for his lost in gambling. it's stupid & senseless.

if you had asked more politely asking that people to stop making fun of lancer, maybe they can feel you better. but yr bolded sentence tells me, YES, you are another butthurt like the guy who is going to sue proton. IT IS NOT TRYING TO BE A LANCER, BUT IF YOU INSIST THAT IT IS TRYING TO BE LANCER, THEN YES, YOU HAVE BEEN BUTTHURT. it's called a rebadge, what do you expect?

even maz2 and fiesta looks almost the same, and they share only the underpinning. do you see maz2 owners getting butthurt now that fiesta is cheaper? duh.

there are always cases of different car maker trying to make their car look like others, (avante > altis) (sonata nf > accord) (forte>civic) etc etc. but if every owner cared as much as lancer owners, damn, lyn forum would be filled with haters.

what about the url that i should read about? i am wrong about rebadge? i never misunderstood rebadging. it was the lancer owners like you who goes around crying foul about proton copying (inspired by lancer, cheh...) and what not. i merely pointed out the fact that proton & mitsu already announced a platform exchange collaboration over a year ago. if permission is given, then what's so suprising that the proton model will look like the lancer, or with proton's customisation for localisation.

other market will a mitsu rebadge of exora & persona/gen2, and most probably mitsu will include their own customisation too. then what? proton exora/persona/gen2 owners going to say mitsu are copying too? if they don't read the news like butthurted lancer owners, then they probably will. that's all there is.

Inspira only, as the TS started this a inspira thread for fans / owners. lancer butthurts are not included. gentleman lancer owners however are ok to stay, at least they dont insist that proton is rubbing the inspira on their face as butthurts claims.

i still think proton did a right move with inspira, business wise. finally a decent car from them. win-win to carmaker & potential buyers.

those are quite good number for the 1.8. but 2.0...that bad? maybe he was estimating using the lancer, with it's 18" wheel. those are culprit for fc.

at paultan, it writes that the inspira does better handling without relying on big wheels. i take that as a very good tuning to make that much of difference in a same car.

but to be fair, i wonder too how could Mercs specify window lock as central lock? maybe you should check yr Mercs manual,

its the same acceleration feeling carried from the Lancer, the mivec/invecs action kicks in late. cvvt gives you a smooth and steady acceleration without the gear shift feeling. you won't be feeling the "pow-wa" but, the acceleration is definately there. you will get used to it...cvt g/box i mean.
