QUOTE(bayern24 @ Nov 11 2010, 09:28 PM) it's all based on personal preferences..like me, been driving a satria, & suddenly to use this car, what a huge "upgrade", i can easily give it a 9/10. But that's just me, a poor guy who never even driven a lancer anyway |

QUOTE(elainor @ Nov 11 2010, 09:34 PM) Just have a quick chat with the deaker that day... Mitsu had already stop production for lancer... Its all by proton now... Proton plan to export it to nearby country such as thailand others... didn't stop production yet, but they're phasing it out.maybe that's one of the conditions in the agreement? |

QUOTE(apache_utara @ Nov 12 2010, 02:33 PM) yeah i want to know which bank also.. Just confirmed with Maybank, they offered minimum 3.85% for 9 years damn if true that's really low, even for a proton.. my last proton 3 years ago the lowest was 3.88% Dunno how other banks can go really low until 3.0% though |

QUOTE(kapultek @ Nov 12 2010, 05:01 PM) i don't think i have that higher up of a friend la QUOTE(rewlie @ Nov 12 2010, 05:03 PM) CVT is fragile, if u drive aggressively and got the "warning", means ur CVT oil boiled edi, u need to flush, cost is about RM700 if im not mistaken, and not advisable to BOT, it can crack easily, mild performance upgrade is OK, but not BOT. wow..I'm not sure how frequent your CVT service based on your service manual, might be different interval with us, but when the time comes and if you dont have free svc coupon, be ready. really informative.. but didn't know it was that fragile though. But just curious, is it under warranty if "accidentally" drived aggresively ? |

QUOTE(putramon @ Nov 12 2010, 05:35 PM) the best interest rate is 3.3% for 5 years, 3.4% for 7 years and 3.5% for 9 years....from Affin Bank called Affin Bank just now before went back, they said for 9 years 3.9% can give me the contact person for Affin that gave u that rates? QUOTE(rewlie @ Nov 12 2010, 06:09 PM) If kaput, yes under warranty, if "warning" appears and you have to flush your CVT oil, that is on your own expenses. whoaa.. that's quite a pinch Aggressive, can say also la go up genting, rapid shifting using paddles, night still no problem since colder air, daylight beware, hot gearbox together with hot malaysia air. QUOTE(SothysSaleShop @ Nov 12 2010, 06:15 PM) You seem to be the only Lancer owner that is truly helpful. Thank you for the information and sharing them. agreed |

QUOTE(mosar @ Nov 13 2010, 01:39 AM) u dont need to replace your car dashboard or doorpanel or the windscreens during these regulars services, dont you? If do it yourself, around RM350..Added on November 13, 2010, 2:20 amanyway guys, i believe some of u are doing plat number interchange, special number, etc etc...wonder how much ur SA/runner charge u with, or do u do it urself? i wanted to do an interchange (swap number with current car), but they wanna charge me rm600 for it..which frankly is a ridiculous amount of money. as far as i know, JPJ+Puspakom fees & charges in total should be more then rm300...i know these runner need to "cari makan" as well..but rm300+ profits? that is just trying to take us for a ride...i rather go to JPJ & do it myself... just something to share here...it just rile me up when ppl get arrogant & try to be opportunistict well, usually runners take about 100-150 to cover petrol+profit i think, they charge u 600 maybe coz SA also want's a piece of profit I'm also planning to buy a number myself if the SA's runner wanna charge me skyhigh.. |

QUOTE(mosar @ Nov 13 2010, 09:47 AM) my thought exactly..they getting greedy.... i'll need to ask my SA later on how much he's gonna charge.. if too expensive, i'll follow u la lateryeah..gonna do it myself. like u said, if rm100-150 profit, is still ok..more then that, screw them lar.. QUOTE(ckk125 @ Nov 13 2010, 11:58 AM) regarding the CVT, they added the cooler and diverted more air to it..but i dont think it is an issue(for me at least), unless for those who want to go up to 200kmh..which i'll never do. didn't notice where is the new location of the cooler though compared to lancer's.ABS on the other hand, i have no idea about it..any info on that? anyone noticed? |

QUOTE(redbull_y2k @ Nov 14 2010, 02:53 AM) I went for a test drive at COE too. The pickup is not bad but not that spectacular, handling when cornering is very good though. Tried with hard cornering and the car is very stable. Here's a vid i recorded just now. nice effort there i suspect the "sluggish" pickup is due to the CVT plus ECU didn't really "learn" any aggressive style of driving i may be wrong though.. |
