just came back from the showroom. is the interior exactly the same as lancer? I find that the quality is not really good. hard plastic everywhere!

When I say it looks cheap means cheap. It does not pass my iso standard. Lancer quality better, it glide smoother than proton. Some mechanism is missing there.

Why I dont like proton, cause proton cars are bad. simple, family owned 4 units (Saga ,2X wira, waja) drove all, all had problems = plenty of headaches and we sold it all to change to something that will last longer, felt like a ton of bricks our backs.  now why are we overpaying for all the other makes? its because of proton!  the govt protects this idiot of a company by overtaxing the other makes.  dollar for dollar if ur in the UK, 40,000 gets you a BMW M5 rm 80,000 gets you an inspira. you do the math ... imagine Malaysian and UK person earning the same amount @ RM3k and Pounds 3K per month.

So, inspira owners, you better grab that 1,500 CKD units with 80% Foreign content.. cause once it become 60% local content, believe me, ur central locking,  power windows will fail within a year.

lancer now become inspira..i guess the new mitsu ASX will become Malaysian first SUV...ops just my 2cents

I've to provide some explanations to the issue of central locking as I was d one who mentioned about it in one of the earlier post.

It has keyless entry and central locking mechanism. I used the key to lock and arm my car when I left. I enter it with button on my key to disarm and unlock the doors, all 4 of them.

What it didn't have: when I drive the car, it doesn't lock itself automatically with either brake or rpm mechanism. I've to lock it myself after I enter the car.

I hope I made it clear enough. Don't want to cause any unnecessary confusions here. I love  my Inspira. :-)

...and it's not even called central locking. It's called child lock.

lock doors, not window.

windows lock is a separate button.

Central locking just means when you lock your driver side door, other doors follow.

Reading the last few post, I really wonder why such an obvious word also can get confuse.

What is this? Bragging about how many cars you have and how expensive your ride is? The amount of car you have and the value of your car apparently has nothing to do with your common sense and comprehension ability. I don't care what your merc e class says. Central locking is a universal term used in vehicles and they all mean the same thing.

Your merc e class is not exception to this rule just because it is an expensive car.

autolock -  lock door automatically by other application such as brake or rpm level

central lock - as the name apply, it lock all doors using 1 central lock

windows lock - lock windows from wind down or up
