1st floor corner------ 8 X 9(feet) plain board
living hall ------ 15 X 19(feet) plain board + L Box light thru
dining + stair corner---- 11 X 25(feet) plain board
dry kitcthen------ 12 X 17(feet) plain board
wet kitchen------- 7 X 10(feet) plain board
utility room------- 6 X 10(feet) plain board

master bedroom 2----- 21 X 16(feet) plain board
2nd flr living hall ------ 11 X 25(feet) plain board

master bedroom 1----- 21 X 16(feet) plain board + L Box light thru

have any reno plaster ceiling contractor to recommend?
may i know wat the quoted price for above plaster ceiling work?

For the plain board will cost about RM6700
For L box will cost about about RM1900

So total about 8600. This is rough estimation.

if u find the ceiling contractor direct, plain board price =2.5-2.8 psf. tongue.gif

rm10 per ft for L box is consider price ok,
rm2-3 is the price for cornice or plain board, btw, how much u spend on reno for plaster?

the house is built with plaster ceiling most of the area. now i am planning for the L box in living room to have lights and shoot it up to my ceiling... so i got such quotation for that )


to have a better view, (my living room with top ceiling)

ya.. it is a townhouse.. the total area.. is this (living room onli) so i doubt if i call up the plaster ceiling renovator.. it will be fore sure expensive then
i think it should be around 10 *11 feet ?

I guess the 1 u said is I call it (light throught), but not L-Box, however light throught usually is more expensive compare to L-Box.

Just a question for this kind of design how many T5 lighting do you need? if total length is 70 feet, do we really need 70 feet t5 lights?

My living room in my parents house approximately 18' X18' requires only 6 X 18 watt round downlight without glass cover when watching TV. Another switch turns on additional 3 X 18 watts which I find it too bright when watching TV.


So with 15 4 feet T5 lights which is not my primary light source, won't it be toooo bright.

if my memory still good, 4ft t5 input is about 23W, which just like 1 pics of energy saving.

15 X23w = 300 watts of lights hmm a bit too much ... I guess i have to reduce the amount of Cove lighting. from my house

finally i found one contractor to handle my house plaster ceiling reno work,
their work so far so good and the price quite reasonable..i think..
