That CIMB is my first credit card and I need it because I got car and because of petrol rebate on 2 years ago.

Do you buy groceries? Use your card wisely, CIMB Mastercard gives you 5% rebate at giant/tesco/cold storage on weekends.

Since i'm not staying at Msia, so far i didn't enjoy any benefit from local card issuer. BTW my HSBC offer me 3+% interest some more holding lots unit from them. So far that is best services their provided compare with other bank.

Heard that ocbc titanium offer until end of till year, so far not interest with those short term offer, consider standchart privilege from worldwide, airport lounge entry. Does cimb offer better?

Citibank will keep it unless . .  . ( lost it ??? )  haha . . . best card !! no preset limit . . Compare with previous rhb VI, differ class, better n better. . .

What do you think about UOB prefered Plat ? Their asking me to take just keep relation with them cos today i go to cxl my card !
*
Haha, another HSBC loyal customer.

UOB Preferred Plat, well I have it too, hardly use it except for auto debits which I signed up more than a decade ago. Keeping the card as it was my first local issued card and the first bank to offer me Plat back in the early 2000. Going to cancel my wife's supp card soon tho as her transactions are not considered for the required number of swipes and amount spend for auto annual fees waiver. UOB not much promotion, but do get 2X reward for overseas transaction. Ask them to waive the GST if they want to maintain relationship wth you tongue.gif

Like I mentioned earlier, MBB lowest rate for overseas transactions.

As for OCBC, well after 1st January 2011, you still get 5% rebate for dining and petrol lah. Free annual fees and best of all RM50 tax waived if spend RM10,000 with the card. However got to plan properly as rebate capped at RM50/monthly and no reward points. But I guess since you mostly overseas not worth to get the card with RM50 monthly capped rebate.

QUOTE(Robin Liew @ Oct 22 2010, 09:05 PM)
ocbc a bit stingy on the credit limit...

somemore said it here.... and its true

i only got a mere 14K cl for ocbc, whereas my cimb upgraded to platinum with rm70K cl
is it possible to ask ocbc increase the cl by faxing income docs? if salary say rm10k, how much cl can get?
*
You want more CL, go lah deposit FD with OCBC tongue.gif

Didn't you tick the delivery mode in the application form?
Usually you can choose delivery to either Office or Home.

Check the anniversary date of your card. Don't wait until being charged GST then only cancel.

am quite pissed off wif OCBC Titanum application. My agent help me to resubmit my application for 2nd time. she told me secretly that this time my credit card app failed coz of TIH (im nt sure the full sentence tho), she explained to me that it means when OCBC call to my office nobody pick up the phone. The office number I filled is general line (receptionist's number). Sometimes the receptionist is nt on her desk n nobody will pick up the phone. The 1st time my OCBC Titanum app failed under scorecard, this time fail under TIH -__-". I'm quite fed up wif tis OCBC dy coz my basic + fixed allowance meet the 36k requirement. Even my agent said actually for my case, my app could be approved one.

Well, not every cardmember can comply to its T&C.

Min spend required:-
- Every block of RM50 for Petrol
- Every block of RM100 for Groceries

Not many people pump RM50 petrol at a time.
RM100 per block for groceries is not easy in fact.
Overspending can happen anytime.

Just keep the card that rewards you the most.

How much rebate do you earn for purchases at BHP?
Do you always watch movie? How much can you save in a year?
CIMB Classic (Mastercard) offers 5-10% rebate at Giant/Tesco/Guardian/KFC on weekends, are you aware of this?
Do you have kids? If yes, you may consider dining at places where 'KIDS EAT FOR FREE'. If no kids, cut it.
Public Bank card, I don't find any special.

Can you even use CC at KFC nowadays? There's almost always something wrong with their terminal. Previously it was only paypass, now even the manual one doesn't work!
Anyone here managed to find a KFC that always has a working cc terminal? rclxub.gif

Strange. I seldom encounter cc terminal failure at KFC.

KFC Bahau, KFC (Jalan Tun Dr Ismail) Seremban, KFC Jalan Pudu, KFC Kota Damansara, KFC SS2.
This is the list of KFC outlets I ever patronized with successful swipe.

Quite a list, I was expecting just 1 or 2. biggrin.gif
I shall try the one at SS2 since it's the nearest.

CC-fail kfc outlets:
Taman Tun (the old one, not at Petronas)
Pusat Bdr Damansara
1Utama

Haven't eaten KFC since 2 -3 months I think.

BTW, did you use paypass?
The only time I got to use paypass was at NZ Natural @ The Curve. It didn't work the next time I tried though... doh.gif
Tried at Tesco Mutiara Dsara, failed. Giant Pusat Bdr Dsara, failed.

I always wanted to try PayPass. It is the cashier who do not know how it operates.
Put the card onto the device, nothing happens. doh.gif

Ohya, the list goes on. KFC (nearby digital mall) also works.
