My appeal for my application of OCBC Mastercard Titanium has been successful smile.gif

Last week thursday, my application status was not successful. So on Monday I had submitted an appeal letter to their credit proccesing department. Today, i called them up and they told me that my card is successful and will sent out to my house next week.

Quite happy since this is my 1st Credit Card application.

The difference is very marginal. If I were you, I'll cancel all and just keep UOB since you are using it actively.

Just keep the card that rewards you the most.

How much rebate do you earn for purchases at BHP?
Do you always watch movie? How much can you save in a year?
CIMB Classic (Mastercard) offers 5-10% rebate at Giant/Tesco/Guardian/KFC on weekends, are you aware of this?
Do you have kids? If yes, you may consider dining at places where 'KIDS EAT FOR FREE'. If no kids, cut it.
Public Bank card, I don't find any special.

Well, if you do have overseas transactions then I would suggest you keep MBB Petronas since it is free and has the lowest rate for overseas transaction. I regret cancelling my MBB Petronas as now Alliance Visa overseas rate is high.

As the the other cards, cancel all and get OCBD Titanium  tongue.gif

Cancel UOB One Plat as OCBC Titanium better as gives 5% at all petrol station, groceries store and for dining.

Cancel HSBC Premier if you have it because you deposited FD with them. There are better rates from other banks for up to one year tenure (for comparison, RM200K you can get RM1500 extra interest a year). However before you cancel HSBC Premier, go apply for CIMB WMC using your HSBC CC. If you did read previous posts, with HSBC CL of RM30K, you can qualify for CIMC WMC.

With CIMB WMC cancel your CIMB Petronas as CIMB WMC got better offer. With OCBC Titanium you get 5% rebate for all petrol stations so no need CIMB Petronas.

Citibank Signature - well this is SG card? Guess you would want to keep it.

Thanks advise.

Since i'm not staying at Msia, so far i didn't enjoy any benefit from local card issuer. BTW my HSBC offer me 3+% interest some more holding lots unit from them. So far that is best services their provided compare with other bank.

Heard that ocbc titanium offer until end of till year, so far not interest with those short term offer, consider standchart privilege from worldwide, airport lounge entry. Does cimb offer better?

Citibank will keep it unless . . . ( lost it ??? ) haha . . . best card !! no preset limit . . Compare with previous rhb VI, differ class, better n better. . .

What do you think about UOB prefered Plat ? Their asking me to take just keep relation with them cos today i go to cxl my card !

is it possible to ask ocbc increase the cl by faxing income docs? if salary say rm10k, how much cl can get?

Frankly speaking, CIMB is famous for granting high CL so that your CL in CIMB is actually an artificial figure and it does not reflect your income capability. If your gross salary is RM10,000 per month, your CL should be around RM30,000.

I don't quite get why people want a higher credit line for their OCBC Titanium MasterCard. The total rebate one can get is capped at RM50/month starting from next year. Why do you guys need such high limit then ? RM10,000 is more than suffice.

You are not aware of CIMB card's benefits, why in the first place did you apply? because of gifts?

I guess some forummers want to take advantage of the 0% retail interest till end of this year and 0% BT interest till March next year. For the 0% BT interest promotion, OCBC only accepts a BT amount of not more than 60% of your available CL.

I don't know what's the free gift. Just trying my luck. Usually these roadshows will have free gifts to encourage people to sign up right?

Congrats. Now that you have your first CC, you can build your credit history with CCRIS. Take good care of your credit history. Be punctual with your repayment. When you've got a good credit history, in the future easier to apply for mortgage.

That CIMB is my first credit card and I need it because I got car and because of petrol rebate on 2 years ago.
