Ah your statement date quite early. Can ask for us whether Dec-Jan got RM120 rebate or not tongue.gif
*
my opinion,
Dec - Jan rebate is RM120 max as long as the transaction date is on or before 31/12/10 as the promo period is till 31/12 smile.gif

Well i got good news. Just got off the phone with OCBC CS and according to them, transactions from Dec X to Jan X (according to statement date) is entitled to RM120 rebate.

RM50 rebate for 1%+5% to start from Jan X to Feb X statements.

Disclaimer: Of course knowing the flip flops of CS, there is always a risk that the information is not accurate smile.gif

So i take it that the rebates are calculated as per statement date and NOT calendar month like my query earlier today . Meaning for example :

Assuming my statement date is 15 Dec 2010
I have transaction rebates of 5% amounting to RM120 on 1 Dec 2010 , I am still entitled to another RM120 rebate from 16 Dec 2010 - 15 Jan 2011 statement. Sorry a bit "cheong hei" here but I really wanted to make sure cos planning to max the 10% for bill payments.

Your disclaimer is noted smile.gif

if your concerned is about the 10% discount then u are save as the additional 3% will only be given in Jan stateemnt smile.gif which i believe is not included in the RM50/120 promotion.

I have a friend that used his credit card more than 1 year 3 months already. He want apply MAYBANK using his existing card from CIMB bank.

Recently CIMB bank just upgraded his card to Gold card. Thus, his "valid thru" date change from "09/14" to "12/15" .

do you think he still can apply MAYBANK credit card even though his "valid thru" date has been changed due to upgrading of Gold card? He has been using his card for 1 year 3 months already...

no issue for upgraded card, unless new card smile.gif

Just reapplied MBB AMEX after hearing the 15% cashback & 5x points promo. Guess what, MBB offered me the highest CL among  all my cc. This is to my surprise as MBB is reknown for being CL stingy. Also previous posts reported MBB offering points to offset the GST as well. Looks like MBB is now out again trying to recapture the cc market share

Increase the credit limit how many compare to the previous credit limit?

I know that the cards issued by Islamic banking, such as HSBC Amanah, Maybank Islamic, cannot be used to buy liquor, but can it be used to buy stuff like non-halal food like pork, book hotels which is owned by gambling business (like Genting), can or not??

Using credit card issued by HSBC Amanah or Maybank Islamic to pay for liquor or non-halal food like pork should not be a problem if you're buying the above mentioned things in a supermarket. Not too sure about Genting though.

if u talking abt the 5%+3%+2%rebate on online bill payment, then it is very sure the 3%+2% rebate will end on 31/12/2010.

Not a problem.
I used my DirectAccess card to apply for OCBC Ti. The DA card was upgraded from Gold to Plat just a few months ago.

With reference to your blog, cash back for Alliance Priviledge Banking Premium debit card is capped at RM180 per month, not RM45 as reported by you.

thanks for reading my blog and pointing out the errors, got you guy to proof read for me smile.gif

I just got back from Singapore, will update MBB rates compared to DAWMC, UOB & RHB.

Well, too bad I cancelled my Citibank Clear Card as many places offering 10% discount with Citi. Best if got DBS card in SG as many places offering discount for it. Maybe next time will go try get a DBS Debit/Prepaid Card. Certain malls spend SGD200 with Visa gets SGD10 voucher. Sommerset 313 giving SGD10 with SGD80 spend plus another SGD10 voucher is spend using UOB. SO I got SGD20 voucher at Sommerset 313 by spending SGD105.

Was raining while there on 29th Nov afternoon in SG. was hanging around Courts then and after spending time inside Courts still raining. Well beside Courts was UOB Bank, so my dad who has UOB Visa Plat with Privilege Banking under his name on the card (mine just normal Plat) asked if we could enter the Privilege Banking hall and my family we all welcomed and treated to free drinks thumbup.gif In SG, need SGD200K to qualify for Privilege Banking where as here only RM200K (less than half here).

As for Eraman Duty Free, fags no discount with CIMB/DA. I bought a bottle of brandy costing RM248 and 3 cartons of Malboro @ RM64/each and the casher instead offered me RM40 voucher (every RM100 get RM10 voucher if spend more than RM200) if Im opt not to go with CIMB/DA 15% where I will get only RM37.50 for the brandy.

Did they reduce the eligibility criteria for Privilege Banking in UOB Malaysia ? Because from what i know is that both the Singaporean banks (UOB and OCBC) require a minimum deposit of RM300k to be eligible for UOB Privilege Banking/OCBC Premier Banking.

i've been using this feature at Carrefour, Jusco, GSC and sometimes San Fransisco cafe for more than a year with my GSC Eon Visa but i did not encounter any of that. It's neither i'm wrong or the cashier thought you are talking about a debit card (which need to key in PIN)

Try to check with the bank by calling their customer service...  nod.gif

To open account UOB PB needs RM300K but after that can reduce and maintain RM200K or was it RM250K.
