Thanks for sharing the technology of Wincor & NCR.
I had unpleasant experience when making cash repayment with cc inserted. That goddxxx CDM must be from NCR.

went to OCBC(Seremban) to make my first cc repayment by cheque and was shocked to find that ocbc is still employing envelope-type cheque deposit machine. Luckily deposit slip was sufficient and pen was provided.

HLB even worse, also using envelope type but always run out of envelope during weekends laugh.gif

including RHB too, not sure about all branch but my nearest branch is still using envelope when i remit EPF payment on behalf of my uncle. Plus, I found out that my area of easy rhb branch don't accept cheque blink.gif because they don't install the cheque machine yet.

This starting of the month i applied PBB Esso-Mobil credit card, there is a tier rate of rebate, add on another 3% cash rebate, REFER HERE

So this month i spend RM221.70 for Esso-Mobil fuel, so the cash rebate should be 2%+3%, but the statement show that only 2% rebate given back to me, of course need to phone up their customer service hotline for enquiry

this is the moment that pissed me off, called twice on 11am today and made another one just now and nobody pick up the call at all, the most fed up things is i almost waited almost 10min for each call and yet nobody pick up at all, all engaged
doh.gif
1st time deal with PBB already like this, i wonder how it would be in the future, totally dissapointed doh.gif

Easy RHB mostly for personal loan, which is why they don't have CDM

I think for local banks only MBB, PBB, and CIMB using cheque scan. Citibank still using envelope even though they were the first to have the cheque machines. The new Citibank branch in USJ even worse...cheque drop-in only.

If u happen to use cimb cdm, remember it is not a deposit trxn but a bill payment trxn. I've seen and advised many regarding the trick.

If u choose deposit, u'll never can key in the 16-digit number. Only 'bill payment --> credit card' works.

Wait! For CIMB CDM, I remember if want to pay CC, one selects Banking/Credit Card Account which is the 1st selection of the main menu.

Correct if I'm wrong since I have shifted to use CIMBClicks to pay my DA bill.

giro banking? it took 3 days..

why not using saving account (online banking) from same bank to pay ur credit card, thus the payment will take immediate effect (real time) sweat.gif

Giro banking is actually very fast. If you time it correctly, it will be done on the same day or otherwise the next day. (This also depends on how "efficient" the bank recognize the GIRO transaction) For example if I were to transfer funds to my SCB account (on a working day) before 11.30am, SCB will alert me and recognize the incoming funds by about 3pm on the same day.

As for the bank taking into effect your payment in real time ... let me correct the information. Some banks will reflect the payment in real time and some banks by the next business day. I can verify this as I use several online banking system to pay their own cc ... real time crediting yes ... real time to be reflected in your cc statement not necessarily.

For example , your credit card has a total limit Rm5k , and you used up to RM5k . Now , this is where the same online banking saving account play role. when you pay via online banking saving account to your credit card, your credit card "available balance" will be update with immediate effect.

forget about the real time to be reflected in ur cc statement, after all, pay and the credit card can be used immediately, right? icon_rolleyes.gif

It is OK ... lot of people use payment convenience as an excuse for their selection of credit card.
Personally I don't care where the bank is located as what I want is the card privileges.

Public Bank uses only the touch screen machine that provides the image of the deposited cheque while Maybank and CIMB Bank use both the old cheque drop box as well as the touch screen machine. Anyway, Maybank and CIMB Bank still use mostly the old cheque drop box.

I paid my CIMB CC using CDM all the time. no need to enter anything, just insert my CC into the machine, it will auto detect the card number and everything, just insert the amount of money that you want to pay into the CDM..that's it, very easy.. smile.gif

True if you bring along CC but I didn't bring that. Only 16-digit CC number with me.
