QUOTE(Lester1987 @ Oct 13 2010, 08:08 AM) lets say of the victim does not have personal insurance or any life insurance. When we take the express bus, do the bus have insurance for their passengers?? waste time claiming the PA, just sue the bus company tat cause the damages and suffering.

Bus company gave only RM1000 < yes RM1k only to the DEAD = DECEASED. Wat can we expect to get from bus insurance under that company when they lose 1 arm? or legs? RM1000 divide by how many part of the body do we have?

QUOTE(Fadly @ Oct 13 2010, 08:56 AM) everyone's covering their asses. So the most convenient scape goat is the driver. he's dead and will not be able to defend himself. Surviving passengers already testified that the driver was indeed speeding.

I would say we are too soon to blame the driver alone.
What if the company is giving the driver tight schedule which is almost impossible?
What if the company is encouraging him to speed and reach destination faster?
We must also check the driver profile. Is he speed all the time? Is he a careless driver?
We havent know it yet.
The gov must setup an independent investigation body to investigate this matter as almost all Malaysian travel by bus.
PLUS also can share responsibility if the guard rail proven low quality and if not provide enuf lighting at difficult cornering.

QUOTE(damonlbs @ Oct 13 2010, 10:35 AM) do we have something like highway patrol the law must change Ada but every 10000000 km only you see one. On PLUS only. The Mitsubishi Storm in yellow with green checkered thingy. They're not exactly patrol but yeah, they can and should also be able to do the same as a patrol. Just that their mind is set to "Boss says go see got any problem on highway or not. Didn't order me to warn speeding drivers."
