For people who are undecided to get either sonata or teana..
let me furnish u with some info regarding the car delivery based on my own experience.

Sonata = 4 months, car just allocated and have to wait another 2-3 weeks for port clearance and another 2 weeks for puspakom inspection before getting the car

Teana = 10 days, car in showroom ready to be collected.

Conclusion: I cancelled booking for Sonata and will be collecting my teana this monday rclxms.gif

Good pick up..powerful yet smooth engine..
Attracts attention everytime u press your central locking remote control..Instead of a beep sound it was the sound of the car honk.. biggrin.gif

Do u really think he's gonna share any cons??? Common la. If u want a real evaluation of anything u need to ask neutral parties la. If u wanna know specific details about specs, maintenance, etc then ask owners (but not the new ones since they need time to get to know the car themselves)
*
I would said it will be the other way around..since i had paid for the car i have the right to complain bout it now..
Based on my own opinion after driving this car it is a very comfortable highway cruiser but not good for spirited drive..
suspension was a bit soft while the steering are light and muted so no feedback..
so i would said it would depend on people's preferences..
those who like luxury and comfortable car..the teana would suit them..
while those who are into sporty car..this car might not suit u..

Based on my SA the teana will increase by rm7000 next year..
so from RM168 000 it will become RM175 000 by next year for the 2.5L
For those people who can wait..I would suggest u all to wait for those with black leather seat which was already available in our neigbouring country Thailand..It is so hard to maintain the beige leather seat..it stain easily..so for those who are buying now i would recommend you all to get ready with a good leather cleaning solution biggrin.gif

your car will definitely looked nicer if it has darker tint. I saw one white color Teana with almost black color tint windows, it look awesome from side view...cos the A and B pillars also shinny black, very well match.
*
Yes next step would definitely be a darker tint...but it comes with V-kool tinting FOC already so going to be a bit wasted if i change tint now..was thinking of just adding another layer of darker tint into it..hehehe

Aiyoo why the heck did u change the rims la??? U really make the car look 'cheapo' with the ah beng look. Common la! This is an executive level car not some ah beng proton wira la. The previous rims were much better looking. Big mistake changing them.
*
Dear cybermaster98 ( Toyota vios owner)

No matter how cheapo or ah beng the teana look it is still going to look much better than Toyota vios..(just my opinion too..Freedom of speech in forum eh) rclxms.gif Only old uncle like the pathetic 16 inch rim in such a big car. Even the latest Autocar magazine was complaining on the size of the wheel..

I think put on another layer will be better opinion. Since the car is still new in the market, not many shop know how to handle work like dismantling the plastic stuff at the rear windscreen, it is risky they screw up and casue unwanted rattling noise later. What tires u put on the new rims? how about the road noise and handling?
*
Am using Toyo C1S 225/45R18..Road noise still acceptable and handling definitely better..went genting for test drive straight away after changing the tyre.. tongue.gif

The only thing uglier than a vios is another vios.

You are obviously in the wrong thread. I dont see a shrine for you to worship your toyota here.
*
Hahaha..totally agree with u bro on the vios part..

Really don't understand why this cheapo toyata vios owner who kept telling people to wait for the new camry and not interested in Nissan Teana doing in this thread unless he got other ulterior motives..

Got my Teana yesterday evening & drove a couple of kms back home from Nissan's showroom, see below for my very first cut initial quick comments:-

Pros
-----
- The V6 XCVT engine is awesome & powerful, smooth gear changeover & the NVH is pretty impressive
- The LED illumination at centre console & door handle is soothing & gives you a very relax feeling at night
- Of course love the intelligent key entry and push button ignition system, memory seat features & the mini compass indicator on the rearview mirror
- The xenon headlamps illumination is very bright that gives you optimum visibility
Cons
-----
- I need to mention again that the beige color interior looks good but to maintain it will gives you big headache
- My car's rear power sunshade is having a minor jam at one side when i tried to activate it few times (poor QC check)
- Lacking of air cond controls on the steering wheel
- Lacking of speed sensing auto doorlock (dunno whether got any setting to activate this), is a BIG BIG mistake for not having this simple feature on a Teana  doh.gif
  * Hi Jimmy, need your help to confirm whether your Teana do have this auto doorlock feature  notworthy.gif
Thats all my very first cut comments on a 2.5L Teana, will provide more feedbacks when i gain more experiences from this car  rclxms.gif
*
The xenon headlamps illumination was too bright for other driver on the road.. I have friend who drove in front of me asking whether i m using the spot light..Definitely a good thing if u r speeding on the highway 1st lane asking people to give way but u might get a middle finger from the other driver.. sweat.gif

no auto lock on my teana as well..even slyphy also the same.. hmm.gif

jimmynhs, are u using the RON 95 or 97? which petrol company you feel good for your Teana? My experience with the RON 95 ( I guess only cos it come with the car) is not good, after the first 3/4 tank finished, I changed to RON 97, I found the engine getting much more smoother and less noise, is this true? still puzzling whether is this my physicological effect...
*
Am using Petronas RON 95..The Nissan SA asked me to stick to one type of petrol either RON 95 or RON 97..Since the car was already powerful enough so decided to use RON 95 as it is much more cost saving..with the current price increase for RON 97 u would be spending extra rm30 for every full tank..then it also depends on the way u drive your car..i had been told that if u r those people that travel long distance all the time then RON 97 would be a better choice as it give better mileage for each tank..
