i was at the guest preview in horizon hills last july, my take would be go for the higher cc one, VQ25DE V6 engine with all the goodies.
the interior is awesome, and as usual space and comfort rules. just too bad, no sun roof but i can live with it.
exterior, the front will grow on ya..and i love the rear view. my prefered colour is white, kinda looks like s class from far lol.

I think the comfort and plushness of the interior can compete against Camry smile.gif

Teana 2.0 sure underpower ... Using same engine as Sylphyl !!  Gotta love the X-tronic engine ... So quiet
Rear light of the teana looks like Mercedes ... whatever it is, do not ever get the 2.0 litre !! dammm, very frustrating
*
actually, x-tronic is the cv transmission not engine..
2.0 same engine block as sylphy?

"Proton Perdana replacement is the Nissan Fuga, only for top level government use. although the source added that if Proton gets encouraging market feedback, it will consider sales to the public"

hi jimmy, u r right, the xenon headlamps is a real mess for me during night time drive  doh.gif  in many occasions those drivers in came opposite me keep on flashing their high beam lights towards me and i have no choice but to flash up my high beam with the intention to indicate my innocent, all that were really not a good experiences, its embarrasing and irritating... vmad.gif

i went for my 1st 1k service this week, asked the service guys to see whether the headlamps level can be adjusted even they are equip with auto levelling feature, but ended they said it cannot be done. I was wondering whether they don't know how to do it or its really cannot be adjusted.

Any suggestion to overcome this problem, Jimmy?  icon_question.gif

hi, most of the sentras (the older model - the one with the sportier headlamps) has same situation too. The headlamps have been checked and verified to be in the proper level but still getting flashed high beams. my previous experience.

The blogpost after that compares teana, accord and camry. nice read

p/s
It is for the china market. They get their teana few years back, so it's time for facelift for that market. For ours, it just arrived. Wouldn't expect to have any facelift anytime coon. Even the sylphy has no facelift yet, and yes China already got their sylphy facelift in 2010 or 2009. Different market altogether dude.

How does the Teana 2.0L compare with the newly launched Kia Optima 2.0L? Price wise the Teana 2.0L Luxury is priced at RM145K while the Optima is RM143,888. Spec wise the Optima seems far better than the Teana:

1) 156PS & 190Nm torque
2) Has Cornering Brake Control, Traction Control & Hill Assist Control in addition to ABS, EBD & BA
3) 8 way power seat for driver with memory
4) 6 airbags
5) HID Xenon headlights with Auto Leveling & Static Bending Lights
6) MacPherson type suspension with Gas shock absorbers with High Performance Dampers (HPD) with sliding valve

Is there any aspect of the Teana which is better than the Optima besides branding and resale value? Just considering.  hmm.gif

Spec wise, Optima is a clear winner. I would say Teana excel in terms of comfort (subjective) and space. I have yet to test-drive Optima though.

^ Indeed, i really look forward to test drive and peek into the Optima when the test units are made available. I am guessing that Tan Chong will start to offer promotional bodykits to counter this.
