I dont know if this is the same problem with you, but a few weeks back i tried buying using paypal linked to maybank debit, the total costs is around rm1k, i got the error message
"This card cannot be used for this transaction. You can complete the checkout with another debit or credit card. Please enter your new card information below."
obviously i checked my account and i have more then rm1k, so i called up Maybank, the reason was my max online shopping is rm500, so the operator told me to go to ATM and increase my limit, maybe you should check your spending limit, hope this solves your problem
