I dont really know if I'm correct so I wont name the player which I suspect is cheating.

Last evening I played against a Mr.X 1v1 Metalopolis TVT. before the game started, the game lagged badly...first clue!! Bored with MMM, I went quick banshees. So I turtled in, bunked up the ramp. Now here is the interesting part, I got reaper raped. But he didnt scout me. His reaper just appeared out of no where and whacked my starport first..which I proxied..to avoid scan hmmmm... so is it a tactic to send your reapers to scout? Anyways, I tot hey well played nice cheese. I saved the game to have a look where I went wrong..and I realise that he never scouted me..

So anyone..experiance this before? I heard there are map hacks around..but its supposed to be game..for goodness do they have to resort to cheating towin. So i dug abit of this Mr X background..and hmmm very interesting win rate of more than 64%.

was your starport proxied inside your base? it's actually not uncommon for a terran to use a lone reaper to scout another terran due to walloff.

best way to confirm is to watch the replay. select Mr.X as the player and have the camera on auto-follow. if you see him looking at dark spots in the map especially your proxy area then he is definately a hacker. sent the replay to hacks@blizzard.com to gg him.

Heh, I got a game a few days back. I was paired with a (somewhat noob) Terran. Halfway through the game, he suddenly shouted, ROACHES! I took a quick look at the opponent zherk base, but no sign of roaches or anything.

When asked how he knew, he said "SCAN!" (aye he was typing in caps the whole game, very annoying.) Obviously he was lying, since I saw no sign that he scanned the base and his OC had 80+ energy. True enough the zherk player tried to nydus our base with roaches.

Even if we won the game, that incident was enough to sour the victory.

watch the replay with the video set on the other player and see if he is looking at your base in the fog of war or doing anything suspicious as if he can see thorough the fog of war, if yes, mark the time and congrats u can sent the replay to blizzard and have him banned.
