after installing and uninstalling a whole bunch of programs including:
- AndroidTweak
- Swype
- MSN Talk

the power button cannot off the screen and I'm only left to have the 30sec do it for me~

anyone with similar bug?~

Download a ROM MANAGER and backup everything then HARD reset..this is the best I guess..

Maybe you can set it back to factory settings?

Reboot and test it again.

I'm using Wildfire, stock ROM, unroot~

Hard Reset or put it back to refractory setting. Try and let us know the result..

Lol.. ok.. Backup first then hard reset.. if cant then set it back to factory settings..

or you can use Lock Screen Widget to turn off your screen..

what is hard reset & restore to factory settings?~ may I know what will be changed?~ apps? sms? phonebook?~

yes, I think this will solve it temporarily, I'm putting one that will enable widgets on lock screen to try~ thanks!~

Added on October 11, 2010, 1:30 pmupdate -> still can't lock screen using the OFF/ON button!~ but only can do a pseudo lock by using Flyscreen~

I've decided to root and flash my Wildfire~ can anyone recommend me a forum/website for instructions and downloads?~ pls help~

Factory restore is you reset your phone to factory setting. Which means your phone will be like a new phone. Everything will be wiped.

factory reset ..or go to recovery menu....wipe everything la..so easy

i decided to root and flash rom~ since everything will be gone anyway~ still doesn't solve the problem with the app~ going to xDA and getting things done~ thanks everyone~ please close this thread~
