Ok la OP, to be honest unless you watch only animu, VLC is at least equal to if not better than MPC-HC

Sometimes AVI Xvid files as well, when my Pentium 4 laptop can't handle 1080p H264 videos. 720p works fine though thanks to ffdshow.

You can do that (regain volume) in MPC-HC as well as ffdshow.

KM player is the most God....can forward and backward by pressing arrows nia.

hmm... i've been using MPC-HC 64bit. dunno faster or slower, but I notice some of files played better when i play with mpc-hc. dunno about gom or kmplayer.

i like mpc-hc + ffdshow combo, works every time. and the plethora of customization i can make is pure awesome.

i hate the fact that it can't play rmvb coz many of old JDorama and KDorama is encoded with rmvb.
