lots ppl having hanging problem with nokia x6 it seems
*
the hanging not only happen on X6, but almost all S60V5 phone with 128 RAM.
S60V5 phone sure got such slower and more hang often than normal OS phone, like Nokia S40.
There is some way to handle it, such as always set auto kill apps, aviod RAM hunger.
But most of ppl dunno how to handle it. Addittional, some ppl not even know how to close the apps correctly.
Therefore, end up with those "hang" problem and keep complaining. smile.gif

sorry, one more questions, if 5800 vs vivaz? who'll win? coz i just found a vivaz that within my budget
*
if based on spec, definitely SE Vivaz win. In term of camera, proz, ram.
But 5800 come with OVI MAP free navigation, i think this quite attractive compare with Vivaz. And, 5800 has a budget price compare to Vivaz.
Anyway, i prefer capacitive screen rather than resistive screen. smile.gif

sorry to ask. but there's 2 version of 5800. one is 5800 xpressmusic and 5800 navi. er. what's the difference?

i go through the comparison here.

http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPho...6&idPhone2=2537

everything is the same except 5800 navi has

1) Geo-tagging
2) QVGA videocall camera
3) Regional maps
4) Lifetime pedestrian and vehicle voice-guided navigation licenses

is it make much difference? this one has  "Lifetime pedestrian and vehicle voice-guided navigation licenses". how it difference from xpressmusic one.  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif
*
Bear in mind, 5800 XM and 5800 Navi basically is same, just the sales packaege is diiferent. Navi come with car holder, which XM din. One more different is, the color of body.
Other than that, all the specs are same

QUOTE(Aurai @ Nov 9 2010, 10:51 AM)
hi guys, need some recommendation. the template provided is irrelevant to my interest.

my usage is sms, e-mail and internet wi-fi, a phone that doesnt lag, has a good build quality and warranty, with no issues on the warranty(for example certain brand needs to claim from overseas, those kind of complications is in my avoid list). good camera(by good i dont meant great, something at around 5mp resolution and additional specs to make it look good that i dont know about), doesnt matter is touchscreen or not, but i do love BB's qwerty keyboard(do not let this affect your recommendation).

so for the things i've mentioned, at what price point should i be looking at? possible models?
*
when come to ask for recommendation, always state your budget first, then only ppl can try to help u. just my2cent.
anyway, Nokia N8 might fulfill your requirement. thumbup.gif

okay, i could overstretch to 1k, i didnt state because most people would just suggest the 1k phones.
anyway, quite interested between the vivav, vivaz pro, satio and x10mini.

1st q - vivaz or vivaz pro? vivaz has better camera and video recording aite? i only know how to judge by MP
2nd, x10 mini is it upgradeable to froyo? do i need to pay? is it worth it?
anyway whats your recommendation?
*
1. want qwerty keyboard, stick on vivaz pro. wan 8mp, stick on vivaz. actually MP is not a big deal, u have to look on the aperture number and oso the camera function & software

2. i donno whether can upgrade to froyo. but for me, the screen is too small, especially when it din have keyboard, hard to press sometimes.

IMO, vivaz & satio = not worth. Pay a high value of money, but just get a resisitve screen and S60V5 only.
X10 mini, too small, hard to press, and not nice when browsing website.

if want no lag at all. then S60v5 probably not your choice.
as i recommended just now, Nokia N8. smile.gif
fulfill all your requirement, and the price is not expensive, 15++.
no lag, good web browsing (3.5'' capacitive screen) , YM (nokia messaging), FB , videos (720 HD) , good camera (12 MP with f/1.8, facedetection...), sms, and maybe if possible good video recording.

if your budget is high enuf, maybe can try go to IOS or android. (but i personally not prefer iphone smile.gif )

will check HTC wildfire, but is it worth it? i dont really see a use for apps, which is why i refuse to specify my budget in the first place.
*
Advantage of HTC wildfire vs S60V5 phone:
seldom lag, multi-touch.

Disadvantage of HTC:
no free GPS service,no garmin, No front camera

android always win in terms of web browsing as i know.
for vivaz, the camera is okay. but since it is symbian s60, which is somewhat a little too yesterday for today's standard. if u can stand for the little bit slow, maybe it is ok. i personally can stand that as it is about the same as my older phones. try ask for the vivaz owner at Sony ericsson vivaz v1. some people said that resistive isĀ  shakehead.gif . but it actually depends on urself. both capacitive and resistive touchscreen are of different price tag. ppl with money can always go for capacitive. but with lower budget, 1k below, resistive is good what.. icon_rolleyes.gif
*
capacitve > resistive.
there are < 1k capacitive screen phone, that is Nokia X6. smile.gif

X6 also S60v5. Just the screen adi pawn Vivaz much. When u use both type of screen, i am prety sure 99% u will choose capacitive. Plus, X6 got free Ovi Map, life time

the touchscreen really makes a big difference? will check.

but resistive, u need apply some pressure, then the screen only detect.
but capacitive screen can simply touch it. thumbup.gif
