Budget: RM800 and below
Brandly: Preferably SE
Feature: Normal feature would do. WIFI and GPS enabled.

When a phone stated that it has GPS enabled inside. Does that means it comes in free and all I have to do is just download and update the map or I still nid to install the software myself?
*
oh se...
se No free gps, unless its google maps[some of my fren's SE phone[w395 etc.]charges them on Google maps too lol]
only nokia provide free navigation[free ovi maps smile.gif]

Pixon 12 just revived in my mind when i saw a thread containing a link comparing the Pixon 12 and Nokia N8.

I have been out of the loop for a while. I just check in the internet and i did not see any of the article mentioning the Pixon 12 using the Carl Zeiss. Looks like i remember the wrong thing.

Pixon 12 still available in the market?

lols i doesnt mean so...
due to android market in malaysia is pretty small...
lots of phones even with GSM network, we cant find in malaysia, some ppl get it from singapore

1. like the samsungs' cheap galaxys[G5, G3 & some olders galaxy], malaysia only got samsung galaxy 5 so far[2megapixel & the low framerate dun seems will meet ur requirement]

2. cheap droids in below 1k theres only 4 choice in malaysia : x10 mini/mini pro, x8, samsung G5, htc wildfire

3. from available android choices[don't care how much it cost], even good camera is still pretty less choice like htc desire[soon got HD/Z, hope its a big real improve from HTC!], galaxy S, x10, milestones...cheaper one[1k below] r x10 mini..

so, after all these sums up, the only choice for u is x10 mini/mini pro...
if u dun seems OS is a priority to u, like clon said...go vivaz~probably the cheapest one to offer HD video i could said~

btw, using symbian device[like vivaz], u can install garmin[i forgot can install as free or pay a cheap fees] which more accurate as it update weekly~

yea i guess. the only drawback for me is coz the mini small screen, but heck, maybe thats not so important to me anyway.

hey btw, the difference between x10 mini and and mini pro is only the qwerty?

x10 Mini Pro is generally heavier and slightly bigger than x10 Mini. And x10 Mini pro doesn't have much choice of colour than x10 Mini.

What to ask for advise whether to take Maxis iPhone4 package or not.
Planned to upgrade my dad's Maxis postpaid package to iPhone4 package. While I will be using the phone.

Current dad's billing (for Sept - October):
- Rm80 fixed monthly charges
- Around 7 hours calling time (Domestic Voice Call and Voice Call to Extra Ten)
- Sms about 175+
- and two other supplementary lines.
- Dad calls homeline ( TM ) more. Followed by Maxis, then Digi and Celcom (more or less the same).

So, the sum total for my dad's phone number (only) is Rm99, excluding supplementary lines' bill.

Below are the packages available:
QUOTE
Maxis iValue1 package
Monthly fee: Rm100
Able to call: 333mins (5.55hours). When over the limit, they will charge 15sen/min to all lines.
Free data: *not applicable for my case*
Sms: 200 sms. When over the limit, they will charge 10sen/sms to all lines.

Maxis iValue2 package
Monthly fee: Rm155
Able to call: 667mins (11hours+). When over the limit, they will charge 12sen/min to all lines.
Free data: *not applicable for my case*
Sms: 400 sms. When over the limit, they will charge 10sen/sms to all lines.

iDigi 138
Monthly fee: Rm88 (What the heck is the Auto Billing thing actually?  blink.gif )
Able to call: 450mins (7.5hours). When over the limit, they will charge 12sen/min to all lines.
Free data: *not applicable for my case*
Sms: 400 sms. When over the limit, they will charge 10sen/sms to all lines.

Seems like iDigi 138 suits my dad's need more. But dad's doing business. Consistent and stable line coverage kinda important. Am using DiGi prepaid. Sometimes it failed me quite a lot lerr. doh.gif

Or should I consider other phones? Do recommend me.

More info:
Previous phone: N81 8Gb.
Complaint: Found that smartphone dont really suit me cuz I never use the applications or install softwares into it. Just normal call, sms and listen music only.
Need / Desire: Would prefer a more simple OS platform. First priority is to the Camera, but want GPS and also WiFi. sweat.gif

Since you think DiGi 138 is suitable for your dad, then use the plan. For the phone, if you aren't into smartphones then why bother iPhone 4?

Simpler OS would be Symbian then. Vivaz with 8mp and Satio with 12mp.

And iPhone 4 will be a lot better than my Symbian N81 8Gb, i think.
