ovi is good enough somemore its free [nokia]

garmin is better because it updates map very often [weekly]

5230 is the cheapest touchscreen[thats y got big screen if not how u touch?]

mayb u can ask ur mother to go to some shops have a try with the phone c how it goes

well if she still prefer with keypads...
any cheap phone priced 200 & below would do, like nokia 5030..etc..

if she wan a little more things like playing songs, listening to radio, taking pictures sometimes...
might be considering nokia x2, c5... juz around 500 & below

for ur question bout s40,
Multitasking support is still missing on S40. The only way around it on the X3-02 is the special Messaging and Music keys. You can launch the music player from virtually anywhere in the phone interface. If there’s an incoming call, the app will be paused while you take it. You can’t make outgoing calls unless you exit the app though.
s40 is pretty old but very user friendly...
for pro users, they felt s40 is sluggish~

nowadays for making money, they will do anything for it..
should buy from trusted ap company like telstra, CSL[well, china phone but made in malaysia thats all]

you should be lucky, if the dealer give u everything original inside the package without changing or taking out any of them somemore selling you in a reasonable price smile.gif [rarely nowadays ><]

some ap sets you find it very cheap, but aware...
the package mayb missing something or something different from standard package[if is free gift then its fine but i mean is charger, memory card provided isnt original & somehow is what unknown brand]

1st timer should go for some more friendly OS like apple/symbian...
bb/winmo dun seems good to you, but its ur choice la...
