Guys out there, since the new car that we bought comes with warranty.

So need your help to list down and determine which parts if being modded will void the warranty.

For example:
- Bodykit
- Upgrade larger sport rims
- HID lamp
- Exhaust
- Volt stabilizer / E-Drive Throttle Controller
- ICE (head unit, speaker etc)

If this parts being modded will it void the factory warranty? Beside this, any others? Please consult.. Thanks

change rims will void suspension.....

Install body kits that required drilling holes on car body, then void the car body problem issue such as knocking noise, rattling noise and etc.

Change wheel or sport rims, spring and absorber, void the car suspension warranty.

Modification on engine, any parts from it, void the whole engine warranty. Any problem occur to the engine, handle yourself.

From the 3 matters above, you will understand that no matter which part you try to do modification, that part or section warranty will be voided.

Better don't mod brand new car for first 3 to 5 years to enjoy the warranty coverage unless of course u have extra cash to spend later on.

Basically, whatever that's not STOCK is good enough reason for the SC to void your warranty.

So far my mod on ICE never void any warranty of my car..

Change HU, speakers and Amp..Proton Waja, brought brand new.

Because some SC allowed to change rims 1 size bigger only, if ore than 1 size then warranty will void.. It is somehow depend on SC u go..

Yup..maybe better go to SA (Service Agent), coz they making money from all the parts claim
But last time was changing my dashboard odometer at the Proton Edar HQ without any hassle..just waiting time is quite long..

how if i trash my car kao kao? lets say i drive it so harsh till my suspension kong ady, can i claim d warranty?

touch engine mounting etc will not pass JPJ endorsement

No idea.. But i think u wont treat ur own car like tat just for the purpose to claim the warranty... Haha

wat abt change parts to lighten ur car?? like crank pulley, cf parts....

If i only change the HID light, then it only void the warranty of LIGHT ?
does not affect any other parts ?
If yes, then it does not cause me a big problem as my car is only MYVI.
i think the bulbs are not too expensive too while it is affordable.

Really? I plan to change rim for the new car. How about Proton policy? Lets say I change from 15 to 16 inch tyre, will it void the warranty?

Keep the stock rim. Change it back to stock if you want to claim 😀

how about muffler n extractor?

poorly fitted HID my cause a lot issue than Head Lamp.
Higher end car have more electronic sensor, any wiring alter might blow it.

for myvi is simple, change HID but don't cut/mod any original wiring, anything serious happen, just take it out and change to ORI ...

Bringing up this again.. would like to ask which SC do you know of that can allow to change rim 1 size bigger? Currently myvi still under warranty.. but want to change one size bigger to 15"

callup and ask to be 100% sure....

What about those Ultraracing bars? My sales agent said no issue
