Important question is...

How can we learn from this?

There are too many accidents involving bus and nothing has been done in real.

This is really the worst since it involved innocent driver from the other side of the road as well.

one thing fo sure. we need stronger ramp/devider. concrete perhaps?

Divider won't solve the issue.

We need to prevent the accident from happening rather than talking about cushioning the crash.

The basic point is what happened to driver?

well being a good n careful driver wont cut it anymore. there will always be fudge up driver out there. concrete high wall for straight lane on certain part of highways gets my vote. at least can hold strong enuf without crossing over. it get preety deadly if involve other side road users

Problem is that by making the divider stronger, it won't prevent accident, because when the bus hits the divider, it may cause other cars on that same direction to be affected.

There is no proof that by making stronger divider, accidents death can be prevented.

At the same time, the highways in Japan or South Korea are similar to design in terms of barrier, but they still have lower accident deaths compared to Malaysia.

well u got a point but still i cant stress enuf the more deadlier consiquences of fast moving vehicle ramming into the other side of the road let alone a full passenger bus! same lane cars might easily see it happening n do emergency brake.

its not about divider, its about enforcement and mentality.

should revoke the company's license.

i kinda lost hope for those already. sigh.
