i need some guidance 

goto "System>Preferences>CompizConfig Settings Manager"
make sure u have "Desktop Cube" enabled

then press Ctrl + Alt + left click + move your mouse

if u see a 3d wall instead of a 3d cube. make sure u have 4 desktops switcher
why don't u give a try on amarok. Very nice audo player with lyrics 

so wat should i do now?? it doesnt recognize my graphic card anymore even the hardware drivers there also didnt display the graphic drivers, before that it should display "nvidia graphic acceleratpr" or something like this

Hello.

I'm not 100% new to Linux, but I am to Ubuntu, and in getting a wireless card up and running under Hardy.

Long story short. 1 notebook. Needs wifi connectivity. The notebook will be in an environment where there is not internet access; just wifi access to a LAN for file sharing in a semi-office environment.

Notebook is a Compaq M2248AU. Uses a BCM4318 Revision 2 wifi chipset. Worked fine under windows.

I followed the instructions here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/...ver/Ndiswrapper pretty much to the letter. I decided to use Ndsiwrapper with the current windows based driver because the bcm43xx drivers seemed to not like BCM4318 chipsets. So I went, downloading ndiswrapper-common.deb, ndiswrapper-utils*.deb and ndisgtk.deb, loaded them into my flash drive from another computer, and installed it in on the notebook.

I also got the windows drivers, and after ndiswrapper was installed, used ndisgtk (the GUI frontend) to install the windows drivers. Now it says that the driver is installed.

I tried to load the driver module into memory with the instructions here(https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/Ndiswrapper#Load%20the%20new%20driver%20module). iwconfig does seen wlan0, and my wireless card, but the wifi light doesn't come on, and pressing it makes no difference.

The instructions say:

Roaming mode is enabled, but the dropdown box doesn't show any wlan's, and certainly not the one I need to connect to!

Any ideas? Any help will be much apperciated.

like my bloody graphics driver case.. and i dunno if you guys notice.. but.. when u type something in open office.. even though you save it as .doc file when u open it with microsoft word on another pc the formatting and allignment will 'lari' abit...
