i was showing my friends Ubuntu - but i don't know where to set the ADSL/PPPoE connection thing.
i looked every where too used to setting it within my network (DHCP / Static IP) until forgot to look into this part.
I didn't have to do any setting for ADSL connection - (Are you using a USb adsl modem?). It was done automatically. Just make sure you network cable is connected. I did a reboot once with the net cable out and plug it in after Ubuntu boot up - but it failed to connect to the internet. That was with Live CD! Try it and see if it works out this way.btw
