Pardon, I have installed ubuntu 6.10 and managed to configure my usb Aztech 208u modem until the dsl light lighted up. After that, I am clueless on how to connect to streamyx.

When I tried sudo modprobe pppoatm and sudo pppd call ueagle-atm, the data light blinks a bit but in ifconfig, the ppp0 isnt displayed. Anyone have any idea/suggestion?

Oh ya, I need to know the VP&VC and what type of connection do streamyx use (pppoe, pppoa?)

EDIT: Problem SOLVED

Linux newbie here and after a month using ubuntu, some questions comes to mind:

Q1:Where did deleted files go to? the trash can? where is it?
Q2:the folders in my fat32 partition got locked. How do I gain the permission to delete/modify it?
Q3:Does ctrl-alt-delete still work? what about other shortcuts?
Q4:How and where do I check if my pc got compromised (malware, virus, hacked). Years of using windows can make anyone paranoid.
Q5: Is wmv video files a problem in ubuntu? I read somewhere that different versions of wmv cant be played in linux. Comfirm or deny?
Q6: Is there a program that can run multiple lines of command that usually needed to be inputted in the terminal?

Thanks in advance

For me, I usually download the torrent for the alternate CD (around 700mb).
http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/downloadmirrors#bt
