edgy's synaptic does really slow in downloading packages aren't they?..
im wonderring why, even apt-get is very slow here.. but browsing internet was fine with firefox 2.0.. im on 2mbps adsl line.. my windows and freebsd box dont have any prob with slow connection.. is there any kind of bugs with synaptic or what?.. can someone enlighten me please?.. thank you..  |

Good luck!  im aware that they got a server in Malaysia for their repos and im using them since the beginning downloading their iso.. yes my slow speed mentioned before was using Malaysia server.. im wonderring if your synaptic dont have any problem with slow connection at all?.. did u use any torrent client?.. if yes how about their performance?.. i was using dapper drake before and i didnt face this prob.. this edgy was clean install not through upgrading.. that why im curious about this synaptic.. |
