everything is fine after ubuntu installation. play around, update a little.

but the next day i try to boot ubuntu i get kernel panic - not syncing : IO-APIC + timer doesn't work.

anybody can help or gimme a solution. im still new to linux or ubuntu.

how to reinstall or repair ubuntu? i think some of its system files we removed. even the grub couldn't load.

i hope to reinstall with at least some of my old settings and files still intact.
