if you are unable to save it, check the file properties, the username/group which you are in, must have at least write access to the file in order to save the modifications.

hey guys, im planning to dual boot my laptop.
So, i have a clean partition to install ubuntu,
what kind of file system is recommended
for the partition? NTFS or FAT32?

NTFS and FAT32 is for windows..
i believe u must have seen the 'ext2, ext3 and swap linux" in ur partition s.ware..
so, for linux os u have to format ur disk as ext2 or ext3. Than, dont forget about swap linux partition..
