has anyone tried installing office 2003 with wine before?? i followed the guide from this site.. http://wine-review.blogspot.com/2008/01/ru...linux-with.html

the setup successfully completed, but i can't find office11 folder in program files.. is there something wrong with the installation?

EDIT:

i restart my pc and there's no sound.. after uninstall office 2003 and restart again, it's all back to normal.. is it because ubuntu 7.10 can't run office 2003??

hey guys.. new ubuntu user here..
i installed ubuntu last night as i was getting pretty pissed with vista (bugs and some driver issues)

anyways after i installed the latest ubuntu 8.04 LTS my pc was fine the desktop everything was fine.. .
then i went to SYSTEM >> ADMINISTRATION >> HARDWARE DRIVERS and i installed what it told me to install.. after i installed the recommended display card driver.. and restarted the pc... my screen became pixelated and crappy.. with like some boxes in the middle and here and there... sort of like the screen became blur la.. so then i uninstalled the driver and restarted the pc.. .after that its all back to normal..

what happened?

EDIT: using NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT

Hi, want to ask. I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 amd64 and boot from my pendrive. I want use Times New Romans fonts but i can't install msttcorefonts_2.5_all.deb. that i download from https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/intrepid/amd64...ttcorefonts/2.5. It always say Error:Dependency is not satisfiable:cabextract. Any suggestion to solve this?

Thanks

or you can just simply install cabextract:
