i'm trying to get optical sound output from my machine after installing ubuntu 8.04 x64 ... cant seem to find any option on it .. or am i missing anything ?
i'm using Asus's Striker Extreme nforce680i board with ADI1988B sound chip.. any ideas ?  edit : nvm problem solved ..  now figuring out how to manually install nvidia gcard driversThis post has been edited by calvin: Oct 9 2008, 01:33 AM |

can't get madwifi to work on intrepid ibex with network manager 0.7 .. even with the preinstalled linux-restricted-modules
 the wireless portion says its disabled..but using iwlist it shows the APs that are available |

actually are there any noticable difference using ALSA or PULSE audio renderer under ubuntu ? can't seem to differentiate neither...
